  1. Never seen a dust cover on a Corsair tail wheel in any picture of an in service aircraft at all. Whether it be a F4U-1, -1"A"-D or even a -4, -5,-7 or AU-1. To be honest, didn't even know it existed as I've never seen it before, LoL
  2. GWH seems to have done a great job on their kit and I can see you are enjoying it, Quang. Loving the paint work on your Tomahawk, very nicely done! Alfonso
  3. Lovely Looking Lysander! Gorgeous work all around, Congratulations Paolo! Alfonso
  4. Maybe, you mean R2600, or similar, definitely not R2800 looking,by any means, hahahaha NICE, rendition of a Salad engine regardless! Model on Bro, @Uncarina
  5. Though Gorgeous Cockpit work on those 2 model cockpits, they are 1 for a Hellcat and 2 for a Corsair! LoL
  6. NAS Jacksonville, SNJ #157, in 3/4 tone counter shade scheme and 3 women. What's not to LOVE in these pic's...LOL
  7. Hard to show emotional verbage in full content on here! Didn't say/type anything to you in a bad way, but you took it as such. Not the first time you've done that either. Soooo, in response. Don't get your panties in a bunch, sugar butt!! LoL That's why I put the LoL. Since I'm not an English proficiency expert, like you stated, I'll just withdraw. I do know my aircraft subjects though, Especially USN Subjects, and I know them, More than Well... So I eject. Be Peace Brotha... and All Y'all!!! Gonna let y'all, do your thing, however y'all wanna do your thing. Sad, I know plenty and could, and wish to share, but for what???... Peace... I'm OUT!! My apologies Jay, Build, Scratch that Corsair into existence! Not trying to de-rail your build at all. Phenomenal Work, keep at it. Enjoy, and Best to you Bro! Oh, Btw. It's called "The Time Capsule" for a reason. As I understand it, she's original, and it shows!! All later, after April 1944 USN aircraft, inc. the Corsair were overall Glossy Sea Blue which included the Wheel Bay's as well... More on this but..Why? Later, Y'all, LSPers, and all y'all uptight don't stand right, and you English teachers, I'm out, GTFOH!!! I speak more than 1 language, BTW, so excuse me for not getting this one language right, you "English teachers" non "Corsair, USN Speakers"... LoL I'm so gone from this place, I left last week!!! Bye.. Bye.. LoL Alfonso
  8. Not to be a D..k, but Totally different Aircraft, and Manufacturer as you've stated!! Lol
  9. Nice rendition, Nice recovery on the mishaps!! Learn with the burn, Model on Sir!! Alfonso
  10. Also, keep in mind that they appear to be very "tight covers" so no need to "drama" them up with folds/wrinkles and such! Alfonso
  11. Well... 1st- you mentioned for color on these covers, "gray like the rest of the wheel bay". That was the topcoat, SOMETIMES(Non Spec Insignia White on Counter Shaded/3(4)tone aircraft) over the "salmon" primer on early "Birdcage" F4U-1's. You're building an F4U-1"A", so your wheel bay's would be white topcoat on whatever primer at the time of your F4U-1"A" delivery. 2nd- It would either be a tannish, or whitish cover for the later airframes I would imagine. Difficult to ascertain as pic data is "VERY, Very" scarce. I'd paint it in a way to at least show that it's canvas/hemp and not an aluminum panel. Hopefully you get what I'm saying... Maybe?? 3rd- The zipper! Tough one without an assisted item, 3D printed maybe, or some aftermarket flexible car addition bits!? Not sure. Also, not sure if the zipper had a flap/over lip covering the break on the zipper, hmmm? I know that KD431, THE TIME CAPSULE FIGHTER, the Yeovaltin museums example has these covers still and you can see the overspray on them which makes me lean towards unpainted material!? Hope that helps, if not, my apologies, Great re-work regardless!!
  12. Jay, Thankfully, I hope, You get/got what I was saying/typing earlier!? AMAZING! Nothing I can type/say to do this work any Justice!!! This is just More THAN AMAZING! AMAZINGLY BEYOND GOODER than GOOD!!! WOW, duuuhhh, duuuh, Fu..ing Duhhh!!! Sh...tttt. it's that Good! I can't wait, though I will. Can't wait to see how you replicate the "canvas/hemp" zippered covers in the inner wheel bay's side walls on this. Oh no, more canvas/hemp covers, to cover.. LoL Hate/Love You for this!!! LoL Alfonso
  13. Go, Gil, Go!!! Always good to see, "Florida" Modellers anywhere!!! LoL Alfonso
  14. Ummmmm, duh, duh, biidihhh, duh. No words, just, duuuuhhhh, F..ck!! Soooo good, Brotha! Alfonso, Corsair Lover, who can't speak proper right now...duh, duhhhhh!
  15. Guilty as charged. Exactly those 2 canvas covers, Thanks Brett for the pic. Don't want to "cover" this thread any longer though, LoL
  16. Broooo, Fight that good fight and things will be more than right! Use that area to replicate the haphazard, irregular spray of this scheme. Look at the pics available...There are so many!!! The "way" I see it, they sprayed whatever "gray" after, over whatever "green" they used as it's just super blotchy all together... Ohhh, this a field applied scheme. I'm in the camp of the undersides still having natural metal on the undersides at certain parts of the fuselage, tail horizontal empanage, and main wings, but, that's another story... I hate typing....just rock that sh.t Bro!! Model on Sir! Alfonso
  17. Car door Tiffie for the WIN!!! Do it, to it Bro!!! Alfonso
  18. Gorgeousness of a kit!!! Better than the Trumpet poop plastic bagged thingy!!! Go GWH, Goooo!!! Alfonso
  19. The fight is almost over!!! Knock 'em into tomorrow Rock!! Great backdate on that B-17. You got this..Do it, to it Bro!! Alfonso
