  1. OBG sage advice ! I likewise love a sapphire and tonic with lime and cucumber muddles, been into to bourbon lately and it certainly inhibits my fears of feeding the styrene junkyard
  2. Well I really decided to bite off more than I can chew…decided to try and graft full Tamiya intakes and flap aileron deflection positions. Right now its 50/50 this ends up being completed to satisfaction. Had to have a smoked old fashioned to cope with my ambition tonight
  3. Slow progress last week. Scratching some of the external details needed to make an S
  4. It is. The Revell F-4E Missouri ANG boxing. So far i bought replacement resin short nose, SAC gear, Reskit J/S wheels and LAU-7. Tamiya borrowed parts are burners intakes and seats (bought resin replacements for Tamiya J) Scratch/mod - triangle stab plates removed, nose obviously cut, IFR door added. Outboard slats modified for “deeper” S style and inboard slats scratched. busying up cockpit and wheel wells. I think the revell kit is a good starting point with some TLC and add ons hopefully it will take it up to a higher quality replica
  5. Next up another Revell kit with a few Tamiya swaps and other borrowed parts and some scratch building. Attempting to make a passable USMC VMFA-321 F-4S in the mid-late 80s low viz look. Wont be 100% accurate but will get it as close as my skills will take me. Already had to chop up instrument panels to resemble navy layout (S has offset scope J is centered so thats my first fail anyway…
  6. Im a sucker for Candy apple red strats. A beautiful axe!
  7. ScottGT, yes i am afraid of myself if I find one at show for like $40
  8. Not yet. Open to suggestions, I kind of lean to a piece of finished live edge hardwood i have with patch and plate on it.
  9. Its actually a 57 reissue from 2001 that i reliced a gold hardware and painted to mimic the 001 Strat that David Gilmour owned
  10. Here she is, next up is F-4S USMC. Some Tamiya borrowed parts, little bit of scratchbuilding and lots of sanding and improvising. I have a couple Tamiya that i never built so i will get a comparison in the future. Few things that I decided to live with and hopefully wont bug me. Canopy, the wing warp, nozzles arent 100% accurate but I had to complete something after over a decade. Enjoy Icons…
  11. Well happily I will post in ready for inspection the completed pics. Thank you for the likes and kind words
  12. Cant wait to watch this one unfold. Using same kit to make F-4S out of next after I finish Revell 1/32 Tomcat
  13. A-10…Tomcats Forever has me wanting to What If a Super Tomcat 21 in service markings. Im still very bitter about the Cheney decision LOL
