  1. As you’re so close, is worth popping down for a quick look?.
  2. Love it. I wish I had the skills to do that.
  3. We’ve had 2 days of heavy rain, so prime opportunity to get to the bench. But no I seemed to find other stuff to do. Then my wife starts to watch a new program at 9pm. I’m not interested I said just popping in the garage for 5 mins; 1 hour 45 mins later.......
  4. Heritage Aviation resin was pretty much it, but Flightpath doing some bits. Not sure where you’ll find any now though......
  5. I remember 10 years ago I was happy doing 1/72. Then I bought a 48th kit and I though it was a massive turning point for me. Then one day 2 F-15s’ flew over Boscombe Down(where I worked) and they were looking for Stonehenge. This was my first glimpse at an E model (for 10seconds) and I had to build one. My research found the Tamiya kit and my wife bought me one for Christmas; this was my first. Ever since; bar 3 x 1/48 builds, 2 of those being commissions I have exclusively build 1/32. I just find them more rewarding to build for me. I do look at others builds and they can be great but after those commissions builds which I didn’t enjoy, my future is set. I blame the Americans for getting me into 1/32
  6. I’ve done the Sea Harrier a good few years ago. I wanted to make a good one and so piled everything at it. The kit itself is a product of the design of its time. However modelling can bring some good results, but you have to put time and effort in. You can obviously choose to build it out of the box, but I’d bet you’d want to make a better presentation if you see into the future. Occasionally I look out for a GR.1 or 3 kit, but silly asking prices dictate that I’ll hold off, plus I don’t think they actually sell. Good luck and what’s your thoughts......?
  7. Nerdiness is cool and if you sniffed glue in the 80’s you’ll fit right in. Joking aside mine is a hobby but rarely turns into a passion unless it’s a particular subject. It they want to try it, just go for it. Offer advice and encouragement. Show them your Hunter.
  8. It does look weird to me in the photo without tanks, but yet a Single seater clean is graceful. I’ll get my coat......
  9. I like it a lot. You’ve got loads of options to choose in the configuration. Thanks Piero for sharing.
  10. This is coming along very nicely indeed.
  11. I refer to my post above. All sorted if I get a kit
  12. Seeing as you robbed my thread. As compensation I think you should send me a full kit. Seriously, this is cool
  13. Yeah I would consider that my local, it’s a little like the one I remember from childhood in Salisbury back in the day. Parking s a pain though.
  14. Sod the toilet roll, I’ve just gone and purchased all the kits in my LHS.
  15. What’s a silhouette cutter?, I’ve never heard of such wizardry
  16. Only here and Britmodeller. I discovered this site some 2 years ago and started building 1/32 a good few years ago. BM I’ve been on for over 10 years now.
  17. Well I’ve missed this one. What an aeroplane and model. I had one of these years ago but passed it on as I thought I wouldn’t build it. Russian stuff is just cool and I’m sure you’ll make it a splendid example. Watching with interest.
  18. Thanks for pursuing this Chad, it’s very much appreciated.
