And boy do we need a Jenny in 1/32 !

Well well ! ...Right in my own backyard as it were.(10 min away)....nice collection of aircraft here ! http://www.olympicflightmuseum.com The FG-1 Corsair is out on loan, but there is a Spitfire sitting in while it's gone... A real beauty ! All of the primary collection are flying aircraft...including the Kaman Huskie. I will be spending some time there getting some photos.....if anyone wants any specific close ups, let me know and I will see if I can get permission. I will be joining as a member, and doing some volunteer work.....the upcoming airshow in June should be a treat. Joe

Ok...that's what I thought, but didn't notice on the website where that is not in the price....I will check again !

At todays rate, 600 Euro is about $ 679 USD....or are you saying it is the lower price without VAT ? Joe

Nice, clean little build and one of my favorite jet aircraft ! I especially like it because it illustrates the point that you don't need $$$$ in additional AM to get a great looking model ! Joe -
That is going to be some kit ! Based on what I have seen of it, I'd say that $279 price, while not inexpensive, is still a good value ! Joe

Clearly the WNW treatment for Spad XIII would be welcomed. Any of the cool two-seater observation planes not yet done.....

When I get around to it, I think I will build one of these as The Galloping Ghost, flown by Jimmy Leeward as a tribute to him. I nearly got taken out at the 2011 Reno Air Races when he crashed into the stands there ( I was just a few rows behind the box seats that got wiped out ). RIP Jimmy and the 10 fans that died that day. Joe -
I believe they are NMF with yellow bands and red wing tips....

We had a similar tax rate here in the 60's......the 1760's......so we did something about it..... " Ya say you wanna revolutionnnnn...welll you know......" Hehehe
-
I am so tempted by the Cat ! .....I just love the aircraft and I may pull the trigger on one this fall.....my biggest issue right now, is that I live on a 35' boat, so not exactly sure where I would put it after it's built !...hehe ( and please dont tell me I could tie it off and share moorage...LOL ) Joe

That's Super ! Beautiful build and finish. Joe

Awesome project !...Glad it is nearing completion...I love seeing these sorts of things. Joe -
Some of us would agree, but that's not the majority....I personally love to scratch build models, but the reality is that few of us have the time or material for the research needed, and while many modelers have the skill, it is or can be rather daunting to create something from nothing. I know that I have spent many months and countless dollars just getting together enough solid information to even begin a total scratch build project so I understand why most don't go down that road. Joe

I would have to think that they will be re-released at some point....too much money in development and tooling not to ! They just need to get a feel for the demand and when the timing is right....out they will come. Joe

I have always admired the large scale motorcycle kits, yet I have never built one.....Seeing the super build you have done here has me thinking I must try one soon ! Beautiful job ! Joe

Speaking of prices that have risen....after reading the thread about helos, I went in search of a Revell AH-1 Cobra.....what the heck happened ? Ebay prices were $50-70 ...??? I never paid more than $ 10 bucks for one of those....yikes !
-
Yes, good news on these releases...hells are cool...and like others, I would love a really nice quality UH-1D and early Cobra.. Of course I like to have a Skycrane in either 1/32 or 1/35 as well. Joe

Norbert...absolutely fantastic figures ! I hope the future will bring more "In Action" poses.....I hate Malingerers....lol. Joe

I saw one scratch built in 1/32 a few years back....lol.....took up a third of the display table....huge..!

Impressive entries !

Prop blur....always a tough one to pull off convincingly...... One of the best ones I saw actually used a disc of clear, with the "blur" painted on and then powered by a small electric motor. It looked decent when not running and looked even better when it was. I have experimented with a few ways, but nothing ever satisfied me as to the realistic look I wanted..... Joe

Other than price, what's wrong with guns from GasPatch ? http://www.gaspatchmodels.com/machine-guns-1-32/

I love 1/32 WWI....some 20 odd years ago...long before WNW, I used to enjoy scratchbuilding unavailable types....I did the FE2b ( An IPMS Nationals winner) the Junkers D1 ( also a winner ), Phonix D1 and several others....the Junkers I then produced as a resin kit....The Spad A2 is on my list, but I'm afraid of going down that road of producing a kit only to have WNW do an IM of it....or any others I would produce.....
