  1. damnit, i've got absolutely no room for something that big...but for the life of me i've got to get one. ps anybody see the nose separation? -f variant?
  2. couple of light washes should take care of that, no? the color is light enough that I think you could tint that enough with translucent wash or 2.
  3. with the skyraider you end up eating almost as much shelf room up in height with folded wings as you do with unfolded in width (could amost add another shelf with what it takes up)
  4. would that be something for ZM to ponder...
  5. Just curious how the plastic and parts compare between the Hasegawa kits, as more decal options seem to be available for A-8's thanks, Peter
  6. my set arrived today aswell. looks outstanding, moldings are fantastic hardly looks like resin.
  7. looks like you won't be able to put any slack in the elevators though
  8. Peter, I'm curious too, some other threads refer to the tail being upwards of 1/4" off, Nigel's plans show it no more than 1/8" by the look of it.
  9. i wish they would do another across the board aftermarket sale again...
  10. great build, the fit of the cowlings look better than i had heard
  11. might have that sprue in the spares pile, the one with the refueling probe if its needed.
  12. looks great but i can see those rotor blades breaking off very easily... any reinforcements?
  13. has anybody talked about producing a corrected -m canopy?
  14. The flash washed out some of the panel line wash, but it also hid the decal issues pretty well. Started off as a pro-modeler bf-109 g-2 and was built in the comic book character "Von Hammer's" -109 (some late -f variant I'm told) Cowling scoops filled and sanded, tail wheel modified to show a retractable version, landing gear modified for in flight appearance on stand. Ailerons and rudder were cut free and posed to give some life to the model. The attempt and a blurred prop was done by cutting out a circle out of clear plastic the same diameter of the propeller, then wedges were cut and the edges were trimmed, I airbrushed lines on the wedges once the were affixed to the original prop blades. Specific decals (wings underneath cockpit, bird on the nose and the black chevrons on the waist) were printed by Stephen Loftus.
  15. anyone notice those other clear parts on the canopy sprue on the a-1?
  16. i'll have some ready tomorrow night
  17. wonder if g-factor would be interested in making a set for the 1/32 a-10....
  18. better view of 'the bulge' http://a4skyhawk.org/content/158174-vma-322-photographer-unknown-g-verver-collection-5508
  19. so when do we start the group requests for two bobs to scale up their low vis mike series of decals?
  20. does anybody do clear resin casting? if the canopy lines are correct outside of the "bulge" doesn't seem like it would be too hard to make a master by adding some magic sculpt to the sides and blending it in to the existing shape.
  21. better way to look at is at the windscreen, i know they blend together but its the windscreen thats really lacking the head on shape
