Kitlinx had the kit and accessories listed a week or so ago when I was browsing.
-
How were you able to add the add-ons? I was only able to add the kit itself to my backorder list.

How did you best determine the cut line for the belly plug? I've got the conversion but don't remember a measured reference point to cut from. -
Does anyone make F-4EJ Kai “Phantom Forever 2020” decals?

DXM has done the yellow version in the smaller scales, for the most part they seem to release in all 3. I would think that there is a good chance they might. -
Does that mean the preorder is open?

Or at least had a US shipping option, everything else looks like it can be figured out on checkout.

Do they have a site for more info? -
Many of the part in the MH boxing are for the HH version. The only things missing were some antennas, the offset radar mount, tail rwr piece and depending on how correct they want to get new gunner seats and gun mounts.

Long wait for an additional sprue... -
Same for me, Paypal kept defaulting to pay from my bank rather than my balance. WNW said that this was the issue but I wasn't able to set it to anything else and I just ended up paying with a card.

Carelessness might be the wrong term but yes, it was lack of oversight on my part in a rush to fix for a show and not having the reference material on hand.

Those look like the same fairings you'd see on the Navy PB4Y-2s -
Those are part of it, but the other is the engineering for what looked like "moveable" gear. Other parts just seemed like they weren't engineered enough or were just left unfinished like the tail wheel mounting. Everything else seemed to go back to the original VFS kit. Most of the engine accessory compartment can be left out but trying to mount the engine in in the rings and then attach the cowling was a frustrating process. I apologize for the low light in the shots. One of these days I'll get some good photos submitted for the gallery.

Watch out for the landing gear and engine alignment aspects.

so we wouldn't have to fuss with the dry transfers (well for those of us with the Wolfpack conversion ) -
We need some big scale blurred rotors to work with Live Resin's full crew.

again though, no stock -
I wasn't able to reset it much with hot tap water, the tail just flexes and doesn't seem to have softened, I might try again tonight but I've got to figure out a way to do with hotter water and only 2 hands... I love this hobby?
-
Question, would you recommed dunking the vertical stab or pouring over it for the best results?
-
Thanks gents, I committed to repositioning the low stab this afternoon and successfully broke it off without too much damage and and in the process of resetting it now. I'll give the hot water a shot on the vertical stab later this week. The Vallejo paint has me a bit worried though since that doesn't seem to last though handling well but most of the tail is metalizer.
-
Thanks Rob, I wish I had seen it before assembly and painting. I've since committed to breaking off the lower stab in prep for reattaching it at the same height as the other. I'll have to live with the vertical stab and rudder being off and hope that judges just can't stand up straight.

I've been trying to finish this kit up and managed to finish enough of it up for a show this weekend. Prior to the show though I noticed that something looked off to me and found that the rear fuselage has a twist to it and each the stabilizers are off by...1/4 of an inch. At first I was trying to scramble to find out why and what I might have done to cause this. I checked the wingtip heights off the ground, they are only off by about 1/16" (within my acceptable margins in the scale). Then I saw that the tail is over slightly as well and figured it was a previously unseen warp. Has anybody else seen this in their builds and any solutions for a nearly finished build that won't set everything back? (pictures here http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?/topic/303447-124-kinetic-p-47-razorback/) Thanks, Peter
