Smokey got a reaction from Derek B in Arado Ar 196-A3
Since seeing you start this topic on this aircraft Derek, I know nothing of it to but I had to go and look at my favorite hobby web sites here but also spend a great deal looking on Hannant's web site. I have had nothing but great service from ordering from them. Actually some things are cheaper even including shipping from Hannant's.
I think Derek since I am a big Bismarck fan I would have to build one with markings for it and than after seeing the decals for the Swedish markings would have to do one in that two along with doing what Artful69 is doing with the HpH catapult. What every markings you go with Derek it is going to be a beauty when you finish it. Dan

Derek, Great present. Don't know much about the Arado but if they were on the Bismarck that would be a option. Also is there something wrong with the floats on the plane? I see on Hannants they list floats. Maybe someone can answer that for me. Dan

Thank you for your comment.
I replaced the landing gear bays by those of True Details, but their implementation is not simple because it is undersized.
The shrinking of the parts has apparently not been taken into account in their design, which requires this adjustment.

Here is a few pictures of the intakes. I had to add a .010" to the one side and think I will have to do the same to the other side. The intakes are held only in place with some tape. My question is should I get them as good as I can super glue them in place and than sand them down to bend them in where they butt up against the kit? Is it my imagination or is as you are looking at it straight on the right one is bigger?

Here is a couple pictures hopefully they turn out the right size for here. They didn't turn out very good with the cheap little nikon coolpix camera I have. Will have to take pictures with my A-1 and wait for the film to get back to post some better pictures. Started the kit with the cockpit and only added a scratch built holder for maps on the one side. I know it doesn't show up very good. But it is the primer gray spot on the side wall. I did notice on airliner's.net that the pictures I did look at it doesn't seem like one has the same layout for IP Panel. Some don't have holder on the wall so kind of adding all the things I see into this one. Next is to rebuild the bad seats. Dan
Also for everyone here that posted the very excellent pictures what does everyone recommend for a digital camera???
