While I've been able to make GREAT headway, now its slowin down as I start to incorporate the AM sets.

    But first, the progress.

After test fitting and tweaking I was able to get a decent fuse half joint:

with that done I filled ejector pin marks in the intakes, the ladder locator holes and some incorrect panels on the tail

not shown is some panel line corrections where the line didn't terminate, Im guessing the moulds are either wrong or just worn out.

While all that was drying up, I drilled out all the shell and link chutes in the weapons tray

With that done I assembled the ailerons, elevators and horizontal stabs, not cleaned up or anything yet

Since Im doing an inflight bird I had to get the gear doors in:

Since the demo birds didn't carry drop tanks I had to plug these holes, I used some stretched sprue for this.

When I got this kit a few years back, i was stumbling through the internet and found this video:

I fell in love with the Blue Red Falcon #211 and knew I had to build.

I was able to source a Squadron Vac Canopy, Master Barrels, Eduard PE and some Russian Stars so I had everything I needed.

Except motivation, and now I have that!

Chek,  thanks for the photo and information.  Also like the paint scheme on the F-16 in picture.

Dan, I looked at the two very hi res photos I have of that area and can say that even at extreme magnification (10x the photo below) and even with extreme brightening the rectangular recess is all that's visible. Certainly no obvious projections within. Much more prominent by far would be the serrated panel line on the edging of the end cap.

John,  Just paid for my G-4 set.  I hope it went thru okay with Pay Pal.  I also sent a email to you with my address also.  Please let me know in a email if something is wrong.
That is a great idea of a mini group build of the Bf-110's

That troph is part of the nacelle ejector system. It's quite overdone, a little deep but that tube is way too big. It should also be a couple baffles on either side of the two and of course that tube shouldn't really be there being that large.

I can post some pictures but not now since I am at work for the evening.

Also note they and inaccurately added a notch to the right lower rudder. The notch is only on the left, not the right.

I'm pretty sure I covered this on my PayPal payment (at least I know I paid double postage for the two sets - common sense really) ...
The problem is: even though I hit "return" to type a new address line in the text ... when PayPal sends it to you - it jumbles it all up anyway ...
I don't know if you've received it yet ... only that PayPal says it went!
Perhaps, when you receive a payment from someone you could send an acknowledgment email in return ... clarify any issues then?

    A Paper Propeller

Back in 2009 when Wingnutwings released their first kits I was inspired to build their LVG C.VI kit. At the time I puzzled how to re-create the multi-colored laminated wood propeller. Keeping the lamination lines straight when viewed from the side makes painting them very difficult. Eventually I decided to laminate different colored sheets of wood together and carve my own prop. This worked at recreating the lamination pattern but I was never really satisfied with this method. When viewed up close the grain pattern of the wood looks out of scale and creating the very thin pieces of wood needed involves a lot of work with the planer. (a tool that a lot of modelers probably don't have). Eight years later I have decided to try again for my build of the Wingnutwings Roland D.VI.
Reasoning that a sheet of paper is like a very thin piece of veneer I decided to make my laminations out of colored paper.
I got some brown and tan colored paper at the craft store and cut it into 1†by 4†strips. The paper I used took three strips to build up the thickness of one of the seven layers. 21 strips stacked up makes the full thickness of the prop in 1/32nd scale.
Next I ran a bead of super glue down the center of each strip and quickly stacked them up on the pad of a wood clamp. I tightened the clamp until the layers were nicely squished together and let it cure overnight. (there is a small fire hazard with super glue and organic matter you might want to leave the clamp outside while the glue cures).
I traced the kit propeller onto the top of the paper stack and drilled a hole for the propeller shaft.
Next I cut along the outline with a scroll saw.http:
Next I carved the taper into the blank. The stack of paper will carve a lot like wood so cut from the hub toward the tip. Think about the pressure of the tool pushing the layers together as you cut.
After you have the taper established, carve the twist into the blades. If the paper starts to shred, switch blades or use a little thin super glue to solidify the area you are working on. The paper can be filed and sanded like wood but pay attention to the grain so that you don't pull the laminations apart or tear out chunks of paper between the glue lines.
I sealed the prop with Tamiya clear tinted with a little clear orange.

It should work just fine. Just the basic measurements are taken from Tamiya. Theoretically they should be equal.

Not yet. Maybe within couple of weeks we will have it 48th and 32nd scale.

John,  The sets look outstanding and can't wait to get my G4 set I ordered and look forward to hopefully you will have enough interested in doing another run.    I managed to score two Dragon D/E night fighter kits at my local hobby store that went out of business.  Needed one for the FuG 202 radar.

    Couple questions John:

    - On this G-2, it mentions "late G-2 style nose and not G-4". Is this picture correct and it has the hog nose or is it actually more like the F?

    - I know you said you would not be able to supply the Fug 202 in brass, but this G-4 has the early Fug 220a.  Would the Fug 220a also have to be scratch built as well?

    TIA,
