Beautiful work! Re. the "oil-canning" on the ammo doors - my view is that the armorers regularly walked on them hence the depressions. Plausible? Cheers, Damian

Common 74/75/76 Erla factory schemes The Erla G-10 fuselages and cowlings were routinely painted 76 during construction, at least with the 74/75/76 camouflage. There appears to be less of a patchwork look than with the WNF and Diana patterns overall until the late greens appear. It's not too uncommon to have a green fuselage and 74/75/76 cowling due to engine replacement. My $0.02 worth. HTH, Damian

I'm building the Hasegawa Ki-84 'second prototype' almost out of the box (exceptions landing gear struts, solder engine wiring harness and HGW seatbelts). Enjoying the build very much using basic modeling skills to improve kit parts - hollowing exhausts & gun barrels; etc., for example. Going with one of the kit markings, too. It's nice to actually build one for a change instead of researching, modifying, correcting a kit and taking forever to finish, if that. Don't know much about Japanese a/c and will probably keep it that way to KISS. AMS is taking a break on this one! On the other hand I've got a Revell 109G-6 on the bench and it's getting every last detail I can come up with. Both approaches are satisfying. Variety, the spice of etc. Cheers, Damian PS Wish someone would issue a Model 32 Zero (you listening Hasegawa?), would be on that like white on rice.
