  1. Note: the intake is identical to the one in the Cooke drawings..
  2. Peter, The Mk 22 drawings by Robinson from Scale Models c. 1979 show the intake both shorter when viewed from top and much deeper in profile than the drawing you posted. Hth Hans
  3. Cutting out the part of the wing that sits below the cockpit should make access to and working on the pit easier I think.
  4. There might be a Griffon nose conversion in the nearby future for the Airfix kit (no, not by me)
  5. I want to do my favorite, the Seafire Fr. 46 in 1:24 scale. You need a new nose forward of the firewall, rebuild the upper part of the rear fuselage and make a new tail à la Sipermarine Spiteful. Not all that difficult
  6. And please, none of those pesky little rivets on the wings that Trumpeters' 262 is festoned with..
  7. A hint about the release date Andreas? And will there be a FuG 240 option with the kit? Hans
  8. Thanks Kev, for your exellent review! Yet another aircraft I would never dreamed of to appear in kit form. Now, how about that Douglas O-38P floatplane?
  9. Thierry, Both airframes exist in the form of replica's in museums Hans
  10. Such a cool aircraft. I'll do a yellow wings. Hope it sells so well for Glenn it funds a Vought Vindicator and the long-awaited Devastator. Hans
  11. Your tread reads like a thesis on the art of modeling and employing new technologies, Hubert. I really enjoy following it along! Cheers, Hans
  12. Thank you so much guys for your help! Graham that is very generous of you. I' ll contact you offline. I' ve also found a set drawm by Harry Robinson, published in the october '79 issue of Scale Models, made from measurents, taken of an actual airframe.
  13. Looking for such drawings to make something completely different out of my 1;24 Airfix Spitfire Mk Vb kit. Thanks in advance for any pointers in the right direction. Hans
  14. Rob & Ron, thank you for the clarification. Hans
  15. Out of curiosity I printed his Spit mk. 22 drawings. The rear fuselage measured from the rear of the exit door to the rudder hinge line is ca 5 mm longer in 1:24 scale on his drawing than the same aera, measured on the Airfix 1:24 mk v Spitty and the Peter Cooke mk xiv drawings, both of which have the same lenght. Did the mk. 22 have a longer rear fuselage, is the drawing incorrect, or is it due to cropping and stretching by the printing software?
  16. I don't know that, but he claims he used factory drawings to create his Seafire fr. 47 drawings. He probably did just that for this set. Revell's kit is based on a 1:1 aircraft, if I remember correctly.
  17. Hi Nic, Cool subject for a build! I have an exploded view drawing of the Wyvern (1956 vintage) and partial cockpit shot that might be useful. If you send me your e-mailadress I' ll send you pics. Hans
  18. Thank you gents for the pointers.
  19. Does anyone have a photograph of this specific subtype of the Cyclone engine? I need a good pic of it for my Curtiss Hawk III conversion. The Hawk III was the export version of the Curtiss BF2C-1 fighter of the US Navy. All versions of this engine appear to be slightly different from one another, hence the question. TIA Hans
  20. The 486 (NZ) Typhoons had black undersides, obliterating the underwing national markings. Upper surfaces had standard dayfighter camouflage. Model Aircraft monthly had a feature on nightfighting Typhoons in its december 2006 issue.
  21. In my opinion Hasegawa's Fw 190 is rather toylike and it is difficult to correct the kit's errors, so there is certainly room for a better Wuerger at a lower price

Revelll is not going to disclose to anyone what other releases in 1:32 there will be next year before january 1st 2015. I have spoken to Ulii, head of development of Revell, who attended the Dutch IPMS nationals. He told me that Revell might be interested in doing the Dornier Do 17/215, but as yet there are no firm plans and if it is going to happen it won't be before 2016. So there is hope. Hans
