florin13 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 (edited) Hi all, I will join the group with a small project, a model for the Special Hobby. That will be modified to look like an I-16 Type 29. The first Russian aircraft, I -16 Type 29 "Rata", captured by the Romanian Royal Air Force in WWII. SinuheH Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Nice, something special - look forward to this.
florin13 Posted December 2, 2013 Author Posted December 2, 2013 The whole livery. Current status. My current project, completed in 85%. Progress here: http://www.cartula.ro/forum/topic/11632-mig-ul-lui-bazu/
SinuheH Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Interesting - I wonder what Gulag that Ukrainian pilot ended up in after the war - if he ever got that far!
florin13 Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 I started with the most important part of this project. The front of the engine, which is different from type 24. It came out unexpectedly well and now looks like type 29. The next step was to change the lower engine hood. The cockpit side walls are resin. On the right side I added a fuselage compartment cover. To be continued.
SinuheH Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Nice work, Florin…. keep it coming - following with interest
florin13 Posted December 14, 2013 Author Posted December 14, 2013 A little progress. No big deal. Jamme 1
Zero77 Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 I love both this little chubby bird and roumanian markings. Certainly the most colorful crosses. Very nice and detailed build !
