GMK
GR.1 what? Ah! The unambiguous British aircraft naming convention strikes again (/sarc)!
Tony T
Only seeing Sac gear.....blea!! I'm still waiting for the Kittyhawk Jaguar. Would like to do a GR.1A and T.2 - at least while the interest still holds (tumbleweed rolls by for another year - yawn). Or are you talking Harrier or Tornado ? The former urgently needs a new tool to fit legs to and the latter, at some stage, underwent a nosegear leg upgrade but the kit parts are adequate. Guest Smitty44
Tornado, sheesh... I think that would have been safe to assume. Edited May 28, 2017 by Smitty44
Guest Jessie_C
Unfortunately it isn't. Under the RAF naming conventions, the GR.1 portion of the name is the aircraft's role and mark number. Ground attack/reconnaissance, Mk. 1. Thus you could have a Harrier GR.1, Jaguar GR.1, Tornado GR.1. 3 different aircraft, all with the same role and mark number. RAF role identifiers are:F: Fighter G: Ground attack R: Reconnaissance M: Maritime C: Cargo K: Tanker T: Trainer And many others, listed here. phantomdriver, LSP_K2 and Jack
Guest The Southern Bandit
I was guessing Tornado myself We really do need a new GR1 Harrier in 1/32 though
Guest Smitty44
"Tornado" requires three more keystrokes than "GR.1" Answering 'no' to my question would have required less keystrokes Edited May 28, 2017 by Smitty44 Jack
Kagemusha
Flightpath include some in their set, you might be able to purchase them separately. Luca
Guest Jessie_C
..but I posted this in the section for 1/32 aircraft models only. Aside from the antiquated Harrier kit what else is there? It doesn't really matter. If you're not precise in your question, you're not going to get the answer you want. And you're going to make people frustrated with your imprecision and less likely to want to help you.
Jack
Only seeing Sac gear.....blea!! I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole........wait a second, i'm half polish, ok then: not touching with a 5 foot pole..... But no kidding: i'd sure like to see any gear made and not yet made by G-factor for sure. Jack.

I am a member here at LSP because most of the members here are exactly the opposite of whoever it is you are speaking for. Precision questioning sounds more like what is expected on that other really popular modeling web page which I detest. Revell Harrier kit is not even something I would think of, which leaves the Tornado. Next time I ask a question I will make sure to run it by you first. wunwinglow
Short answer, only the items in the Flightpath set would interest me, the SAC items are just cast copies of the kit bits. Long answer, I won't be bothering with the Flightpath sets, far too much redundant etched material for my liking and the kit bits are pretty good anyway, and can easily be improved with a bit of scratchbuilding. There are some new wheel/tyre cast resin items with two different style treads, can't recall the makers but a search on Hannants website will locate them. www.hannants.co.uk Finally, Italeri have a new GR4 Tornado coming out soon, which I hope will bring Fin Fans up to current quality standards. And yes, I must crack on with my F3 conversion, so Italeri can announce one just as I finish...... Will they hold up to the weight of the Paragon flap set, Avionix cockpit, and Aires burner cans though, in your opinion? Well I guess many more have done this if there are no good legs out there. Jack
Smitty, i also have the tonca somewhere in the stash, and looking at the real thing, the actual gearleg positions are more or less straight forward, straight down to the tarmac so to speak, in other words the kit's gearlegs are already sturdy IMHO and actually should be able to hold the kit itself AND any AM stuff attached to it, but that's just my two p's....
