quang
Glad to announce you guys, that today I received the replacement part from Revell. The part came neatly packed in a small cardboard box. Kudos for Revell GmbH for a great service. The game's afoot! TwoHands, Zero77, CANicoll and 2 others
quang
Indeed. It took 16 days. They even paid the EUR 3,70 postage. Amazing service! I also asked for a replacement windshield hoping that it would be less distorted than the original. Alas, no luck! quang
Mike, they did send me a new windshield but alas it's distorted like the one I already got. Now I have two distorted windshields! Chek and MikeMaben
Rick Griewski
Mike, they did send me a new windshield but alas it's distorted like the one I already got. Now I have two distorted windshields! LOL perhaps the second most requested part from customers that loose things or that have cats that chew parts. Rick
Chek
Mike, they did send me a new windshield but alas it's distorted like the one I already got. Now I have two distorted windshields! It was the same with my Airfix Nimrod. The decal sheet looked like the stencils had received one pass of a two or three pass process, and looked like they were in Morse code, which I complained about. They swiftly sent me an identical replacement, which was kind of them but hardly solved the problem. I think I got an aftermarket replacement in time, along with a host of other resin fixes which still lie in wait to this day. Still, it could have been worse. It could have been the Formaplane vac. Isar 30/07
Quang, let me see if I can help you with another windshield from my Mustang. Did "order" some spare parts from Revell including the clear sprue. More later this evening.... Cheers - Reimund
quang
Very kind of you, Reimund but impatient as I am, I took the drastic way out: I cut off the central panel of the windshield and replaced it with an optically flat one. Anyhow thank you for your generous offer. Cheers Quang Before... During... After... Out2gtcha, Chek, Model_Monkey and 6 others
Chek
I wondered if you were going to sand it flat, but it looks like you got a more precise result with the inlay.
Isar 30/07
NO problem! The corrected part looks very convincing!
CANicoll
Quang: You are definitely making a silk purse out of this kit - well done! Following along. Chris
