Guest Smitty44
Yes...In their Honor! Never forget! My Uncle and name sake, SSGT John A Dearing KIA during the first hours of the invasion of North Africa, buried in American National Cemetary Carthage Tunisia It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived. - George S. LSP_K2
None of my immediate or outreaching family died in any wars, though both brothers and many uncles served; WWII and Vietnam, mostly. My roommate has a framed letter here in the living room, signed by Admiral Halsey, regarding a purple heart citation his father (who survived the war), received during action in the Pacific. One doesn't usually have to look too far to find a family connection to the various wars. A couple of my far removed ancestors, served in the civil war as well as some during WWI. mpk

LSP_K2
My token homage to the fallen, is usually to watch some war movies over the weekend, and this year has been no exception; Pork Chop Hill, Bridge at Remagen, and who knows what tonight. mpk
