LSP_K2
Port wing wet sanded to reveal low spots. These will have to be addressed before working on slat PE. Believe me, they're lots more visible "in person".
LSP_K2
I can’t believe I’ve had this kit for two years, and am still finding things I was unaware of. PE fret includes these nifty gadgets (item #3), for main wheels. These ought to look pretty cool when attached.
LSP_K2
First piece of slat PE is tacked in place; man is this material thin!
LSP_K2
Now this was another dumb move. I decided to use kit IP, but forgot resin set has part of IP already molded on! What a moron.
LSP_K2
Slat material is now super glued into position. Leading edges were then hit with diamond file to remove fret spurs.
LSP_K2
Starboard slat stuff added.
LSP_K2
Paid for December 16th, arrived at my office today;... such efficiency. As is to be expected, this set is absolutely gorgeous.
LSP_K2
Kevin, any up dates????....Harv Nope; got distracted with my Nieuport, then the Dr.I. I'll be getting back to this later this year. Reviewing the photos I received from Boeing, I realized that I really need to rebuild the trailer from scratch, as what I've done is sort of close, but could be a lot better. That was a bitter pill to swallow, so I moved away from it for a bit.
