LSP_K2
Good news/bad news. The good news is that the original resin bomb that was included in the Hasegawa kit, is still intact and present. The bad news is that the Revell exhausts are molded with open ends, making the Quickboost items quite useless to me now. sandokan

LSP_K2
And the quickboost are for what ??......Harv They're designed for the Hasegawa Fw 190A-8, Harv, but would have worked equally well on the F-8 (if the Revell kit didn't already have hollowed exhaust stubs). LSP_K2
Wheel wells all fit up now, and after just a little "tweaking", fit great. MikeC, Kahunaminor, John F Smith and 1 other
LSP_K2
For some bizarre reason, despite not being easily installed in any position other than neutral, ailerons are given as separate pieces. Weird. Kahunaminor, MikeC and mpk
LSP_K2
On my kit (and I assume all the others), there are strange molding anomalies on each wing bottom, consisting of what looks like rectangular tooling marks around the areas of the gun bay doors. These will absolutely need to be corrected, at least on my kit. . Shaka HI and MikeC
lpiccec2010
Looking good so far! I've just painted mine & it's awaiting a gloss coat before decalling. Be aware of the wing fuselage join when you start this. I ignored the instructions & trimmed the two locating lugs on the fuselage &got a near perfect join on the wings! Only problem is the front join at the wing roots- lots of patience & super glue needed mpk, MikeC, LSP_K2 and 1 other
LSP_K2
Cool, thanks. Yes, I'll assemble the wings first (for easier cleanup), then grind off the tab on the fuselage halves. mpk
Shaka HI
Yup..checked mine and looks exactly like yours. (Edit: The molding "issue" on the lower wings.) Edited September 18, 2016 by Shaka HI LSP_K2 and mpk
LSP_K2
Yup..checked mine and looks exactly like yours. (Edit: The molding "issue" on the lower wings.) Interesting. It's as if though there was another version that was modified or something. Either way, it's got to go. mpk and Shaka HI
LSP_K2
For the first time in my life, I'll be using a beading tool set to add some rivets (strictly for visual interest) to this aircraft;... the old "slippery slope" of adding extra stuff. mpk
Guest Peterpools
Kev Nice start on the 190 and there always seem to be something when clear sail seems like it's in the cards. Keep 'em coming Peter
John F Smith
Looking good, Kev. I've got this kit, too, but I've never cracked open the box. Moldings looks pretty nice overall. John mpk and LSP_K2
