Hi folks, I have a 1/32 Tamiya F-14 on the next to do list. If I choose to put the crew in, would I bother with a AM resin cockpit, or would it be waisted because you wouldn't see any of it.

Having just finished one and partway through a second, I took two different approaches. On the one with the open canopy, I used a Teknics resin cockpit with the Kitsworld 3D decals. The decals were for the IP panels which are completely devoid of detail.

I also swapped out the seats for a pair from Aires as this way I could pose the belts in different positions.

The second one which is still on my bench will be inflight so I used Red Fox 3D decals for the whole cockpit along with Reedoak crew figures.

With the crew in place.

The new pilot figures are the biggest and the most visible upgrade.

HAD Decals also does helmet decals for some of the squadrons.
