Shogun
The forward fuselage is glued to the wing section and the wing is just sitting on the lower fuselage...so we just shimmed the nose section up to were we need to be. daveculp, patricksparks, Out2gtcha and 2 others

Oldbaldguy
The forward fuselage on this thing is nothing more than an entire regular airplane’s worth of structure cantilevered waaaaaaay out there in front of the rest of it with no visible means of support other than some stringers and a handful of rivets. There is no wonder at all that it is beginning to sag at the leading edge after all these years. Gravity is winning!
Shogun
After gluing the nose strut in, we sat the lower fuselage down on the bogies thinking that it would rest on the bogies and the nose strut... but it is balancing on the bogies! It's 1/32 nose down from where we had the axles shimmed with the plates. Kind of Freaky patricksparks and Out2gtcha

Shogun
Hello to all out in LSP land... This is where I'll just drop off the Valkyrie and let Frank (Daywalker) put the lower fuselage on the wing. They show the recessed panel lines to locate the intake tops in step 15, but they don't show putting the tops in place, just the sides. Step 16 shows one of the tops in place (the green) Out2gtcha
Shogun
And this is what we have for the intakes... And this is how it goes together... Out2gtcha and patricksparks
Shogun
We need to make the intake bottom panels...for one thing. Because the lower fuselage around this area is not flat, and it should be... And we have to thin down those fat edges. johncrow, daveculp, Dukie99 and 2 others

Shogun
Well, I really have enjoyed my time here on LSP, it's jam packed full of very nice modelers.(with a few exceptions) This is Shogun signing off, take care everyone!
Shogun
Just kidding around, At 750 million a copy,(approximately) and adjusted for a annual inflation rate of 3.64%, this aircraft would cost $6,644,744,898 to build today!
