oscardeuce
A trial run with the Revell 1/28 Fokker. Similar paint scheme as the plane from " The Great Waldo Pepper". Might try with the Roden kit or if Wingnut ever makes one. Sparzanza, tucohoward, Uncarina and 1 other
LSP_Kevin
Nice! The only flaw I can see is some silvering on those elevator decals, but it's a stunning paint job! Kev

phasephantomphixer
Cool! Nice work. Tried this one when I was a kid. Also learned not to set it in the back window of my Grandma's Cadillac when in Arizona!

Black Sheep One
Looks good, but I thought the name painted on the side was Lola! (with the exclamation mark). Still looks great.
ollieholmes
Who makes those decals? Very nice work.
D Bellis
Very cool! Looks good, but I thought the name painted on the side was Lola! (with the exclamation mark). That is correct. Who makes those decals? Very nice work. No one, unfortunately. Not in any scale, either. D
phasephantomphixer
Yes, Welcome and continue to share please. In fact, like to see front angle shots, perhaps any interior too? The character in the movie, "Ernst Kessler" was it? Saw that movie at the Theater as a kid, loved the engine sounds when they were going at it through the hills. Likely more powerful engines than original, but was So Cool! This video of the film is interesting;
oscardeuce
Copper Sate Models makes the decals. I purchased through Roll Models http://www.rollmodels.net/search/pic.php?fName=CPR28153.jpg
D Bellis
Copper Sate Models makes the decals. I purchased through Roll Models http://www.rollmodels.net/search/pic.php?fName=CPR28153.jpg Those decals are for Ernst Udet's Fokker D.VII. Unfortunately, they do not provide the correct markings for "Ernst Kessler's" Fokker Dr.I replica used in The Great Waldo Pepper. D
oscardeuce
Correct I was going for "close enough" as this was really a trial run waiting for WnW to make a Dr1. I spent little time on cleanup and no interior. I did find some 1/28 machine gun PE I am playing around with, but from the start this was kind of a "throw away" project that turned out better than I expected. Warren, if you install the appropriate browser plug-in fix, you'll be able to see the images again. You will need to be using Firefox or Chrome, however. If you search for "photobucket fix" for either of those browsers, you should come up with a range of options. I use one for Firefox, and for the most part, I can still see all those old Photobucket images. Kev
