  1. Hi guys! It's been a while since I posted here last, been kind of busy with work, health and life issues in general. Anyways, I've had this kit for about a week now and finally found the time to post it. It came from Emodels.co.uk in the UK and took 3 days to get to me. Great service!
  2. Here's a 31 minute video of the recovery of the P-47 from the Hudson river in NY. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJdYNXeNWiA#t=463.957916
  3. Norbert, can you print stuff from a CAD file/files?
  4. I don't know if this was announced here before. I just found out that Scale Hobbyist has the HKM 1/32 B-17E/F listed as "COMING SOON" at a price of $279.98. https://www.scalehobbyist.com/catagories/Model_Aircraft/b-17e-f-flying-fortress/HKM00001E06/product.php?s=0&t=0&pg=2&ppp=48&sb=stocknumber&so=a&e=0&era=0,6&sc=32
  5. The Thunderbird F-16 crash-landed sliding on its belly to a stop. The photos show it lost the nose and canopy but otherwise shows little damage. Of course the damage may be more extensive to those doing the inspection on site. I think it's probably cheaper to replace it with one from the Bone Yard in Arizona than to try to restore this aircraft.
  6. I'm still hoping for a Curtiss JN-4 Jenny, a Grumman J2F Duck, a Sikorsky CH-54 Tarhe, Sikorsky S-38 and S-39.
  7. Kev, I honestly have no idea. All I know is that this special edition is the one with resin and (I think) PE parts. I got interested in this aircraft after reading an article on SAM magazine on this kit.
  8. It's been a while since I posted here. Just too busy with doctors and work! Anyway... I had a busy weekend this past weekend as my model club was hosting Noreastcon 45 at The Museum of American Armor in Bethpage, NY. It was a fun show with some impressive looking tanks and other AFV's. Probably one of the best shows in a while. I picked up some stuff: And I picked this one a couple of weeks go:
  9. My list: Sikorsky S-38 and S-39 Curtiss J4N Jenny
  10. Interesting..... Scale Hobbyist's every day price is $71.86 https://www.scalehobbyist.com/catagories/Model_Aircraft/north-american-f-86d-sabre-dog/KHM00032007/product.php?s=0&t=0&u=0&pg=1&ppp=48&sb=stocknumber&so=a&era=0,7&sc=32&man=KHM
  11. Seated figures would be nice.
  12. Hi Hubert, nice work! Just sent you a PM.
  13. Being that they will be 1/32 scale I don't think they will be too small. As for cost, I'm afraid they won't be to inexpensive either. Being Roden I'm not too sure about the detail level as evidenced by past kits. But one can only hope...... Now lets not start a war of words here on a kit that hasn't even been made yet!
  14. Wow. Just...WOW! All this arguing over a kit that hasn't even been released yet! Same story every time a new kit is announced.
  15. Dan, the SE5A has been out for a while. Both kits sell for $59.99US.
  16. Maybe they should've gone straight to Boeing for original drawings and visited a few museums to see for themselves and research the real thing rather than relying on hobbyist to send them pictures and do the research for them.
  17. Well.... the issue with the circumference of the nose, to me, is not a big deal. I figured that the problem would be there with the "F" models as well since it would probably require HK to make a new mold to correct this and, as I've been told, making a mold for an injected model costs a lot of money and I don't think HK cares that much to make such an investment. What I do worry about is the PE set for the cockpit. Does the "F" model has the same IP as the "G" model? Was the problem with the PE IP from Eduard corrected? I remember there was a problem with the IP for the "G" off register when it came out. I just wonder if this was corrected. Those PE sets aren't cheap!
  18. Oh I'm sure you need to upgrade. What I was referring to is that.in most cases, Apple can recover your data.
  19. Hey Kev, sorry to hear about your computer. When my Macbook Pro crashed last year, I took it to the Apple Genius Bar and was relieved to see them recover all my data from my crashed HD. I had them replace the damaged drive with a 1TB SSD. So maybe there is still hope for your machine. Oh, BTW, my contribution should be there by now. Good luck.
  20. Post pics.......of the women!
  21. Thanks Kev. I know I went a little overboard but since I don't have any family in NY, I don't get Christmas presents so.....I made up for it!
