norbert
Awesome, Norbert - now the same guy wearing speed jeans and an oxygen mask in different poses. This one is going onto my list as well! will try to find somebody with full gear, and I already secured a VAQ-139 helmet, but without mask. A matter of time... norbert
Great figures! Do you plan to release also WW2 German pilots? Hope to do some one day, did not have the opportunity to meet one so far
Tnarg
I keep beeing amazed at theses figures. Now I really would like to see some of them painted by a real master, like Jerry Rutman. Cheers Rainer p.s. I guess it would be too much to hope for a swedish pilot or ground crew figure in 1/24 scale... Or how about that Swedish tech from the old Modern Combat Aircraft series Viggen book. She looked a lot like a grown up Pippi Longstocking, but I'd like to see her in a 1/32 VIggen (or a Draken, or even a Gripen in the big scale). norbert
Hi Thought I will come back to the question of Reedoak figures painted by masters. Here are some exemples : Adrian Smits, Singapore, soviet scout, 1/35 Stepan Los, czech Republic, American red cross nurse with french Fusilier Marin, 1/72 Petri Kovanen, RAF pilots, 1/48 However, I would say that I developped this figure range for everybody and not only for masters, so here is my own work and it's obvious, looking above, I'm not a master in figure painting. (but hope to improve my skills) So far, did not add patches and therefore it lacks the final matt varnish so, me, US pilots, 1/35 Cheers Norbert Starfighter, Tnarg and Rainer Hoffmann
TonyT
Wow, those are TERRIFIC! Will they be available separately as individual pieces, or in a set of only helmets? Id love to have one or two to display with my Fly Wessex, but Im not sure what helmet the Brit pilots would have worn, or if that will even be offered............. On the late Wessex you would have had the MK3 and possibly the MK 4 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142095466958?clk_rvr_id=1096592371687&rmvSB=true http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142109725511?clk_rvr_id=1096674059282&rmvSB=true we used throat mikes up to about 78ish then they went over to the boom mike. This was the throat mike and it plugged in where the boom mike is shown attached on one of the helmets linked above. http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/F7YAAOxyBC1SAhG~/$(KGrHqJHJBoFBSJE7k0WBS!hG+KLHQ~~60_1.JPG The reflective tape would be covered by black bodge tape with the end folded over to give a tab to pull it off when needed in the field. With an oxygen mask fitted it also served with Jaguar, Harrier, Buccaneer, Hunter, etc etc etc Edited September 20, 2016 by TonyT

Starfighter
will try to find somebody with full gear, and I already secured a VAQ-139 helmet, but without mask. A matter of time... I am really curious to see the finished pilots once you have found somebody with a complete gear - as already mentioned, I would only be able to help you out with a HGU-68 and an MBU-12 mask. I hope you'll be able to source an early survival vest (70s - late 90s style) as well. Modern Navy jocks are still so rare whilst we already have hundreds of WW2 Luftwaffe or Allied figures on the market... BTW, are you also going to do other poses (sitting, standing, another walking one) of the Heli pilot? These would perfect for my 32nd scale Viking and Hawkeye as they are flying without speed jeans as well.
TonyT
This will help time scale wise Norbert, the Mk3 and later 4 were pretty much standard throughout the cold war for RAF, RN And Teany Weany Airways (Army Air Corp). the 3c having the mask attachment ( Gold coloured fittings) http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/6303-raf-faa-flight-helmet-colours/ The idea of the black tape over the reflective was in a tactical situation or in the field you didn't want is showing up, so covering it both protected it and allowed you to reveal it when needed as in a rescue etc. Edited September 22, 2016 by TonyT
norbert
first testshot with the french female mechanics. She is normaly working on westland Lynx, but do not have one to show. norbert
Hi Was asked to do a 1/24 Mirage 2000 pilot, but do not dream with the plane. Only option is to put a french airforce Land-Rover in the background... added also a WWII US Army mechanics that can pass also with planes. He has his coverall tied at waist, hot day Norbert Luca and Vandy 1 VX 4
