Viper Enforcer
Ah, yes that ever lasting budget issue; I can relate. I'll look around and see if I have any spares. What's driving the deadline again?
artoor_k
Of course a contest From 14 to 15 march there is a largest model fest in Poland, in Bytom, Silesia. I want to show F-22 as a model out of a toy. I really want to make it ready for it. Uilleann

KUROK
The decal sheet was a little long so I had to do that in two scans. Yes, 1200. I also scanned the placement guide as you'll need it. How can I get it to you? Send me a PM.
Nailcreek
Any update or photos? While I'll likely regret it, I ordered one of these "kits" from Amazon ... I'd be interested in the decal sheets and what you did to get a set made.
artoor_k
Well, I worked hard to finish F-22 before 13 March but no success I'll update this WIP this week. KUROK and Uilleann
Nailcreek
Please give us an update. I got the "kit" out of the box, and disassembled it, opening up the intakes.
artoor_k
Hello, I have F-22 in my modelling cave where I have more place. Now I'm testing colors. I bought Italeri paint set "Modern USAF/US Navy Aircraft" consisting of 6 colours. I have an idea how to get prismatic paint effect without "Raptor Sheen" but I have to test it. More important question is: what colors ale appropriate for Raptor? Light Ghost Gray overall, dark areas Dark Ghost Gray and Gull Gray brighter areas? This is my idea but in fact, I have no clue. artoor_k
Hello,After many trials, too much paints bought and more disappointments than I could count I managed to (almost) paint my Raptor Maybe it's too dark/too bright/too grey/too blue but in fact I have no idea what colors I can use to achieve better look. I'm limited to acrylic paints, I tried to mix some colors but mixes looked differently on the model than in the bottle. artoor_k
Hello,Yesterday, after almost a month I got back to my Raptor. Painting is almost finished. Also, I've made a side photo. Since there is a possibility to change it, I want to ask you-don't you think that it's sits too high? I've decided not to buy resin wheels nor filling panel "trenches". I've made a lot of mistakes with filling wing gaps and I really don't wanna to make another ones. ClumsyDude
Looks good Artoor! I say stick with your gut on the panel lines, if you haven't got the mojo to do it, then it's the right thing to lay off. Cheers Jim
Starfighter
Looking good so far! The landing gear legs are definitely too long, the bird is sitting way too high. Real Raptors sit very low above the ground! Take your time, you're doing a great job! Harold, Derek B and EmperorKai
