Great job so far. I'd really love to tackle this conversion myself - the problem is that there are no good drawings around to start from. Looking forward to seeing more!

Well there are good drawings around...they're just not available...yet...

I'll make you a deal.

You finish up that awesome S-3 of yours and I'll get my drawings cleaned up and figure out how I want to publish them.

Cheers,

Timmy!

That sounds like a winner for ALL of us.

OH WOW!!!  That sir is a thing of beauty to behold so far.

Where did you get the thin vinyl from?  Looks perfect for the job, and how did you adhere it to the surface?

Thanks for the brilliant update

Cheers

Anthony.

Now that's a deal - the plan was to finish it until end of this year anyway. :)

It's self adhesive sheet vinyl.  It's Oracal something or other...I don't remember.  Google Oracal you find a local supplier, it's not rare stuff.  HTH.

Hey everbody!

Gots some paint on!  The red plastic proved to be an issue and took a couple of attempts and a mountain of patience to get a half way decent result.

ACTUAL FOOTAGE OF MY FIRST ATTEMPT TO PAINT WHITE!

As usual more details and complete write up HERE

Masking was accomplished with traditional methods and my Silhouette cutter, used to make vinyl and paper masking tape masks.  I didn’t get too much photographic coverage of these steps but you should get the idea of what markings were painted.  My write up describes the process better than photos in this case.  Anyway here you go….

Thanks for checking in.  Off to do some decaling!

Noice!  Its always a wonder how I EVER carried on before I had my paint mask cutter.

A lot of hand work with frisket and a sharp scalpel!  That's how I done it!
