ericg
G'day, This is my recently completed Phantom. All in all an enjoyable build but lots of work to get some of the details right. I added the following aftermarket parts; Quickboost Ejection seats, Aires Wheels Zactomodels Aim-9D sidewinders Rear View Mirrors Cutting Edge exhaust nozzles inside Revell exhaust Nozzles (if that makes sense) I modified/scratch built the following details. Hydraulic sight gauge (rear right fuselage), Corrected the top of the splitter plates, Added a pilot work light in the rear cockpit, Wired up the front of the RIO's instrument panel, Added the seat to canopy firing order wires, Canopy locking hooks, removed all of the weird rasied panels over the fuselage, replaced the pitot tubes with brass, replaced the seat firing handles with copper wire, added brake and hydraulic lines to the undercarriage, smoothed the intakes the old fashioned way, added the sway brace brackets to the bottom of the inner weapons pylons. I hope you guys like it. Edited August 21, 2011 by ericg
Guest
My, my, my...Very well done, mate! The weathering is perfect for a non USAF jet.Just grimy enough, without overdoing it. Thanks for posting. ericg
If I was going to do a cammo one it would be an Aussie F-4E Phantom, but I dont like having multiples of the same aircraft type on my shelf!

aircommando130
I've always liked builds of Showtime 100...it's just dirty enough to look good. Too bad it was shot down by a SAM...it belonged in a museum when it's service life was over. Very nice build.
