jeroenpeters
Busy rigging the Albatros. Since I ran out of Bob's Buckles, and since Bob is celebrating christmas... I'm stuck. Or.. I found an excuse to start working on my second WNW kit. Actually this one was a present from my girlfriend. I decided to make this one in dutch color. Actually the only Sopwith Pup ever to fly in dutch colors. LA41 to be precise. LA standing for 'Luchtvaart Afdeling'. Or 'Flight department'. I removed all the pit parts, cleaned them up, and added some wire to the control stick. If anyone has any pics of this particular plane.. please post them... I noticed SWApilot on this site asking the same question so i'll send Dutch Decal a mail as well. Cheers, Jeroen
LSP_K2
I had never had a desire to do a pup until I saw the Pheon sheet with the moon on the side, and all the stars; that just rocks. I guess I'll have to order one of those now too.

The dutch versions are in no way the sexiest marking options, but they do have a certain appeal to me. Some sort of militairy soberness I can't get my finger behind. And it's not because I'm dutch. Or maybe it is... I don't know.. Anyways.. It's another great kit by WNW. I might just order a Gotha soon!
LSP_K2
Being Dutch probably does have an effect somewhere in the scheme of things I'd imagine. Being from St Louis, Missouri, I've wanted to do a MOANG F-15 Eagle for quite a long time now. Built a couple of miles from my house, and flown over my house regularly for years,... and Phantoms before that. Regarding the Pup, do you have these? Lots of good data here. jeroenpeters
Hi Kev, You're right. I live about 2km from the old Fokker factory and would love to do a 1/32 Fokker G.1 some day! Or a decent D21. Also because my grandfather wrestled these with his wrench. I have both the Windsock books on the Pup on my computer. A photo of the LA41 is not in them though... Over the holidays I hope to get a lot done on the Pup's pit though. Love what you're doing on the Nieuport by the way. Cheers, Jeroen

jeroenpeters
Thanx Tim! Here's the pit. One step further. Next step is adding the control cables and rigging on the pit. Working on engine and seat right now. I should have a coloured PE set with WW1 british seatbelts somewhere, but can't find them. Looks like I'm going to be painting the WNW offering, which is fine too offcourse.
