  1. A friend of mine just bopught the LAST  Macchi from our local Wally World. I was real surprised at how it looked. Not a bad kit for under 10 bucks! I will be picking up a few for the stash. I wonder how the Stuka looks? Cheers, Ian
  2. Sky, I use Easy-Off oven cleaner, not the scented kind, but the regular stuff. It works great, but don't leave it on the clear parts too long or it will craze the plastic. I also use rubber gloves and a respirator when I spray it, becasue it'll burn the hands and nose pretty good. Hope this helps, Cheers, Ian
  3. WOW! cool Restoration or some kind of kit?
  4. Yeah, I would consider buying the Redux kit, however, like Rob suggests, a "low tech" all plastic version would probably work pretty well for the budget modeler (like me ) Cheers, Ian
  5. Ben, Shot you an e-mail. Larry, Did you get mine? Cheers, Ian
  6. Hey T, Just checked out your tweaks. That exactly what I was looking for. As soon as i can, I'm going to download those onto my laptop. Thanks Cheers, Ian
  7. Larry, Good to hear from you. Sorry i haven't been able to make it here more often but I've been super busy the last couple of months. I sent you an e-mail with some F-4 related questions. Regards, Ian
  8. I thought the Grand Phoenix set was for the Revell 262? I had no idea that Contact Resine made one for the Trump kit, that rocks. The only problem is, what kind of price are we looking at? I've seen their resin wheel sets go for upwards of 20 bucks, so I would imagine the resin 'pit would be pricey. Better than nothing, hey? Cheers, Ian
  9. Hey guys, My time in Afghanistan is drawing to a close. I have about three weeks left before my unit rotates back to the States. And, I' m thinking about starting that Tamiya F-4E Phantom that has been sitting on my shelf for a year and a half when I get home and I was wondering if there is a good review out there on the pitfalls of the kit. I'm already aware of the nasty intakes, but i'd like to know more about that kit Any help would be greatly apperciated Cheers, Ian
  10. Hey guys, Out on patrol today and came across this gem... It was sitting in an empty lot in the local village. I asked my LT if I could climb on it and get some good reference shots, but he said no, too dangerous. Oh well, what can you do? Cheers, Ian
  11. John, How are the Sea Harrier updates coming along? Just curious Cheers, Ian
  12. oooooohhhh, nice Kfir............................. Cheers, Ian
  13. Stu, First, Welcome aboard Second, good questions, I have the Revell III kit with the CAM conversion kit but with no decals. I'm sitting on it until I can find a sheet that has the data and stencils on it. I want to do mine in Ecuadorian AF markings, but alas, its out of production. If you have questions about aircraft, this is the place to come. Good luck on your project, Cheers, Ian

How can I locate Fireball Modelworks? Any help for that tired, old kit is worth a look Cheers, Ian
  15. Zug, Good question, I sure could use one for my in-flight MiG-21. The kit pilot sucks! Cheers, Ian
  16. Hey guys, If your looking for aftermarket Soviet stuff, try Cutting Edge Models. They have a bunch of stuff for early Soviet jets. You might find a seat there. Cheers, Ian
  17. T, This an opportunity for some real cool stuff!! Hopefully, you can convince him to donate this stuff. I, myself would love to see the pics! I don't have any reference material on the MiG-15. By the way, do you own Riders? Just curious, Cheers, Ian
  18. Tigger, Dude!! as soon as those Sea Harrier cockpits are ready, drop me a line!! Cheers, Ian
  19. Tigger, is the Sea Harrier done? Drop me an e-mail.... Cheers
  20. Thanks Gene, I'll try to locate some. I forgot about Linden Hill. They have good stuff. Cheers, Ian
  21. Has anyone seen the decal sheet from Aztec for the F-5E? What kind of prices are we looking at for this scale? A few years ago, I bought one of their 48th sheets for the Peruvian Military, and I liked it. The decals were thin and fairly easy to work with....but that was a few years ago. I'm interested in doing an F-5 in Mexican markings.....but I'm wondering where I could locate that sheet. My first thought is FlightDecs, but I haven't got around to checking their site yet (too many projects ) Cheers, Ian
  22. Menelaos, Hey, I plan on doing a HAF Phantom some day! Another one of my future projects. Would you by any chance have FS numbers for the Model Master paint I would need for that sliver/blue paint scheme? Cheers, Ian
  23. Coolie, heck of a buy, pick it up if you can. Eventhough it's a prototype, it's still a good kit. I'd love to have one. Enjoy! Cheers, Ian
  24. Hey guys, I've been toying with the idea of removing flaps, etc. but I was wondering if there is an article anywhere that has pics. I'm the kind of person that needs pics to go along with an explanation (pisses me off sometimes!) Anyway.......................... Cheers, Ian
