  1. Nice stuff. Congratulations. In some places I can see the stressed skin. Was it done by scribing or it's just paint effect?
  2. WoW! Great to see this model. I remember, when I was teenager my school mate had one hanging above his bed. That was cool!
  3. I'm speachless (once again, and again )
  4. Great paint job! I especially like the worn look of the greens. Congratulations! Just out of curiosity... the bomb was yellow?
  5. I just don't believe all that... Gorgeous!
  6. What a spectacular effect! The model looks gorgeous. It seems this it the trusty way to go with HGW. I love the epic stories of this kind (followed by happy end of course)
  7. The weathering looks perfect to my taste! Keep going...
  8. How I missed this thread?! Absolutely amazing!
  9. That is just a clever idea to use the wire rods taped to the bottom masking cardboard to help handling the model while painting. Definitely have to try this! And the model itself looks nice; keep going. I've always liked the rough look of the Tempest.
  10. Fantastic build! I've already saved the thread on my PC for my future built. The hydraulics and all the pipe line in gear bays are outstanding!
  11. What a model! I'm speechless. Your rendition, and the one by Thunnus (excellent Red 10) made me buy the Revell model. I have to give it a try! And, if you ask me, the double seater looks better than the A version!
  12. Fencer-1, "...work from Russian scratchbuilder Ivan Zhukov..." Long time ago I saw somewhere on the Internet a scratch built An-2, mostly with metal parts. A fantastic replica; possibly it was the same guy?
  13. Congratulations, absolutely fantastic! I'm afraid I can't even imagine how time consuming it was. The 'Uhu' is my favourite; the broken fuselage and thorn apart cockpit are top-notch. Kudos again; waiting for the promised next ones!
  14. Hi guys, I recently became a member and felt I should say hello in my first post here! Well, after a long 'reading mode' I decided to register to the forum and join the community. I found many inspirational threads running here which have encouraged me to try myself in larger scale. I don't have much time for the hobby but nevertheless from time to time I manage to finish something. My entry contribution is Polikarpov I-16 by ICM. The picture of this particular plane can be found in In Action #162. The model is referenced as type 10 but considering e.g. the different propeller serious doubts arise. Following the argument found on kitchecker.com model journal I'm inclined to the view this is type 18. So kitbashing two sets I had all necessary elements. The model is rather simple, as I-16 plane is. I made it OOB except Eduard's harness and ski rigging. Hope you like her
