  1. This looks great. I am so happy that they opted for ease of assembly rather than arbitrary complexity. Can't wait to see what this bad boy looks like with some paint on it.
  2. Great, good to hear. I sent him an email about the intake and some Aim-9s a couple of weeks ago and didn't get a response.
  3. Thanks for all of the input. I've decided on the Zacto intakes and reskit nozzle. The Wolfpack cockpit is close to 2/3 the price of the kit and for me it's just not worth it!
  4. What decal set do you recommend for this bird?
  5. Gotta love a big scale Mig-21. The trumpeter kit is usually available for a decent price so it leaves some extra budget for AM.
  6. I’m just about to start in on the Academy Sufa. I’ve got the isradecal correction set and I’m contemplating one or two other AM sets. I’m not overly concerned about the wheel wells but maybe I want a cockpit? any advice on what AM is or is not worth it on this kit is greatly appreciated!
  7. Thanks for all of the great advice! My local hobby shop has the Trumpeter Wildcat for $50 CAD. I think I'll grab it and see how it all goes together.
  8. Hey all! Can you recommend any good 1/32 bargain kits? Lets say something under USD $100.00 By bargain I mean a kit that doesn't break the bank and maybe builds into a half decent model with a bit of work. An example might be a kit that has a few fit issues and is lacking cockpit detail but the airframe makes a decent canvas for painting and weathering. I have a long list of high quality and high cost kits I want to get to but I am curious to know what exists at the other end of the scale. Thanks in advance for your time!
  9. Good to know! I'll hopefully track one down in the next few months.
  10. Thanks for all of the welcome messages. Looking forward to more posts soon. Awesome! We have a similar idea. I'm doing the Alaskan Splinter Aggressor scheme in grey. I'll definitely check out the WIP section. Now I just have to finish my two current projects so that I can focus on this big jet!
  11. Hello! I'm excited to be a new member here at LSP and I'm about to take my first plunge into Large Scale building. Once I clear a couple of small projects off of my bench I'm going to plunge head-first into the Tamiya 1/32 F-16CJ. It will be a mostly out of the box build. The only aftermarket I have ordered are the fantastic Two Bobs Aviation Alaskan Splinter Camo decals and painting guides. My long term goal is to build a Mig-29 in 1/32 and I also want to sink my teeth into the Trumpeter 1.32 SU-25 Frogfoot. Anyways I just wanted to introduce myself and say that I am glad to be here. I look forward to posting WIP as I get moving with the F-16.
