  1. I’ve just dropped these guys an email to see if they have any.
  2. Just resurrecting an old thread. My screws are missing from my factory sealed kit box. Emailed these guys last night and got a reply this morning. £6 posted for the screw bag inc postage but a 4-5 month wait due to issues.
  3. Same, a million years ago I made a parachute for my 1/72 Sepecat Jaguar. Looked good back in the day as nobody did such things. Probably best left in its box in the loft at the mo.
  4. Ordered. Only $10 to my UK address, seems very low but fingers crossed.
  5. I take it yours was not post free, one way to find out I suppose?
  6. I’ve left a message as it says free post. Surely not for us foreigners?. Steve.
  7. Whilst looking at what options we have for 1/32 Parachutes I found this. Has anyone across the pond or anyone purchased from these? https://3d-chute-expert.myshopify.com
  8. If Hammer House did pilots…..(Christopher Lee reference)
  9. Hey no problem at all and always an open door to feedback. His eye balls are white with the 2 black dots but I agree it is a little unrefined, giving the near death expression. I’ve just boiled the kettle so I’ll have a quick search as I am able to redo it.
  10. Hi all this is my latest build having finished it at the weekend. It’s the Trumpeter GR.7 kit and modified to a GR.5 with an adjusted instrument panel and a new nose from Miliput. The camera pods casings are made from the kit weapons by cutting and extending them to the correct length of CBLS2000 which were the base for the camera pods. The cameras and mounts were scratch built using plasticard and 0.2mm lead wire. The engine face has a clear disk which I roughed up to give the impression of engine running, including all the blow in doors open. This particular colour scheme is one of the first 3 which was then additionally painted blue and white for rough ground trials at Boscombe. This meant that it got plastered in earth and I’ve got reference photos but cannot share them. So for the first time I’ve done this and watched a few videos on YouTube from the Armour modellers, I sprayed away with light coats and then with dried out garden earth added to the paint, I dabbed it on with a brush. The black n white squares on the nose are one decal but the larger item on the fin is 2 black & 2 white positioned together. If you look at the fin one checker is over the formation strip and the other side has the strip going through the checker. This actually on the real thing. As usual my photography is not the best and it looks way better in the plastic as such. Thanks for looking. Steve.
  11. There is a scene watching from the port side on take off. If you look past the aircraft have you noticed how many are parked up on the pan!.
  12. As said above the weathering is all about the subject the modeller is modelling at a particular time. Having been in military aviation since just after school the cabs (aircraft) are in varying states of use. They get used often, especially in conflict when serviceability takes over is it clean. Periodic cleaning takes place, eg a Tornado fin. One week it’s dirtied up, then next week it’s been cleaned. Again general wear and tear happens around contact areas, and these may/usually get brush repaired (rotary) until it goes into scheduled maintenance. So weathering is all of the moment. however some great models have an overkill of the patchwork quilt effect rather than panel wash. In my experience they just aren’t like that. Perhaps a panel tone change which could be different shade of paint or simply sun bleaching. My opinion though which means nothing to what the modeller chooses to represent their project.
  13. Sorry if I’ve missed it, but do we know what scheme/decals are in the box yet?.
  14. Blimey that’s good. I love seeing these F-16 builds but strangely have no desire to build one.
  15. It looked a great kit on the Airfix table, bigger than you might imagine.
  16. Same, I took a double take at the table. Now this thing has presence!.
  17. We’ll just a thanks for letting me put the Puma on the stand alongside some outstanding models for all tastes. It’s the first time I’ve been on that side of the bench for over 12 years now and my first at SMW, so I feel kind of privileged (box ticked). Nice too meet those present and put a face to a name. My purchases consisted of a 1/32 Tamiya F-4J Marines, 1/35 Trumpeter Hind and a Airfix Beagle Basset. Topped up on paints and added some new tools spending just shy of £300. Then the 3 hour drive home. A great day.
  18. How on earth did I miss that
  19. Is the Meng one due soon. I received an email from Jadlam and amongst the hard sell was a register your interest for updates. I suppose it could be just that and helps them gauge on the minimum to order……..
  20. I think I know who that would have been from a million years ago when I was in a club. See fragrance references above.
  21. I think their logic is a smart one (although I just can’t associate myself with the great unwashed). Where it is crowded in the 3 halls and especially navigating the traders stall where you have to go in to see the stock. I think they’re all called Moses as they can mimic parting the sea of modellers to have their own space to move about and see the sales. And then there is Moses with the greasy hair with a parting! a whole package of; well you know. I’ll personally be the sea in this gathering and will accept the bumps, and cueing. PS I’m going to speak with that trader in the corner who with a raised voice sells kits with multiple discount (Town cryer chap) and see if he wants to invest in female figurines of soap with every kit.
  22. Change of plan. I’m now car sharing with a mate. If I can find a box I might be able to bring my Puma (Helicopter) for Saturday only. I don’t have any labels etc just the kit, is that alright? Again if I can find a box…….
  23. I love the historic hornet. The new Super Hornet with its Botox intakes etc has never clicked with me. Great model by the way, looks tremendous.
  24. I prefer the look of the razor back all day long. The bubble top just looks weird. No desire to build one though.
