  1. Thanks, gents! The good news is that we are in our new home on Whidbey Island, Washington, USA- and things getting settled in. The storage pod in which the MiG (and lots of other stuff) is on it's way to nearby Everett, on the mainland. Once it gets in we can have a local moving company bring it all over and I can get back to modeling! In the meantime, I will soon review a new product that will make a lot of folks on this site happy- so stay tuned!
  2. Sheer wizardry, Peter! The sheet metal, the cylinder master- I'm entirely re-boggled. ;D Cheers! chuk
  3. Sweet! I love this plane- even built a rubber-motor free-flight version that really flew well. Cheers! chuk
  4. My thanks, Harv! Things are good- very good, in fact! I just have a lot of other, very demanding tasks to do and they will lead to much better things! Also, thanks to those who've hit the "Like" button on these posts- cheers! chuk
  5. Thanks, Maru! Friends, life has been really busy as of late- but good things are coming. This may be my last update for a couple of months- we'll have to see what happens. In the meantime, Kapitain Andreea is back to show you the latest. Cheers!
  6. Aw, thanks, fellas! I've been happily swamped by work- getting my freelance biz back up and running has been a long process. On the other hand, that's meant less bench time! I've been working away at the cockpit when I swing it- it's a rather small 'pit, but I'm leaving out the ejector seat, so a lot of detail is being added to the rear bulkhead. I've got to leave the right sidewall off until I get the consoles painted (tiny stuff!), then I can glue it up, add the rear right details, then finish painting the lower details. Whew! I've also readied the resin tailpipe bits, and have to paint them before major assembly as well. Now, I've heard something about a greenish color on the actual interior of some of the pipe- can anyone confirm and enlighten this old propster? I hope to put up a new entry in a week or so- thanks for your patience! chuk
  7. Spectacular! Love that blue- cheers!
  8. Time for a new project! The kindly folks at Icaerodesign approached to review and build their recent conversion set that allows one to build a Romanian version of the famous MiG fighter. They gave me an Eduard "overtrees" kit, their resin conversion and and an extra baggie of resin treats. In case you missed my review, you can see it here: or here. Let's kick this off!
  9. I'm all boggled up- again! That's a dream build if I've ever seen one- cheers, Bodo!
  10. Hi, John- I signed up on this lovely forum just so I can post a big THANK YOU for making this wondering conversion kit! It looks absolutely wonderful- and perfect. I slogged though my 1/48 build and enjoyed every minute of it, and gleaned every bit of info I could along the way. You've scholled me in the subject- good on you! Cheers- chuk
