Is anyone ever going to make a 1/32 scale F111?

EF-111 Raven in 32nd would be stunning!! -
Thanks mate. I've got a Lockheed Hudson on the go, but I'm awaiting for some tools to turn up in aid to carry on

Casting kit should be here soon so wil have the engines well under way. Made progress today at work so will get some photos up once a master engine is complete!
-
Not bought any kits yet, don't plan to either for some time although I have plenty in mind! I have however bought some scratch building stuff + a casting kit for the IL-76 so that can carry on! Will have my own engines soon

Zinc chromate green primer looks like apple green when applied to a bare metal surface

Looks superb and bloody huge!!

Care to sell one Iain, REALLY want one!

Thanks Peter Will get an update tomorrow, here's what is ahead of me. I've got to reshape the whole front end then of course scratch build the rear end open (Photo from http://englishrussia.com/2011/11/16/exploring-the-ilyushin-il-76td/ Hope it's ok to post.)

Really enjoying it Kev! Can't see this being my last 72nd vac either!

Thought I would get some photos up of the engines before I start working on them, as you can see they are proper basic and slightly wrong in line detail/shape. I'm making one 'good' one and then casting 4 good ones/8 halfs (hopefully...) for the kit. This way I can add all the rivet detail, panel lines etc and then they will all look the same, depending how good my casting is! The top two are just to show what they look like cut of the backing plastic. Vacform IL-76 - IL-82 conversion by Rainbow 1984, on Flickr Engine showing the front, I'm going to cut this out, so technically it's hollow, I won't be adding any internal detail from the front as I'll be making engine blanks for the front of all 4 engines. I will however be having the thrust reversers open so a bit of detail on the rear end. Vacform IL-76 - IL-82 conversion by Rainbow 1984, on Flickr Back end open, no detail here what so ever and is wrong in shape. Thrust petals are incorrect too. Cheers Steve, I've got the Fw.190 which I know is a fav of yours too! That's a long way of getting started though.

Stunning little jet, would make a good private jet for scooting around in! Good luck with the project.

Hi guys, thought I would get another thread going. At the moment I have a few builds on the go, the Hudson, IL-76, Sea Wolf and this. This has been hiding away for some time, so will post old photos, but being off for xmas has made me get it back out again. Photos are of old work, but will update soon! Update time, managed quite a long day on it yesterday and should do again today. I've sanded all the front end (just got to tidy around the cockpit glass) but was getting tired so I stopped before I done something wrong, went to bed and watched the new Batman film however I dozed off.. Vacform IL-76 - IL-82 conversion by Rainbow 1984, on Flickr Sponser, still needing work as you can see but getting there. Hopefully have both front and back done today then I'll go onto the other side to try match them. Going to be fun! Vacform IL-76 - IL-82 conversion by Rainbow 1984, on Flickr In this photo, if you look at the top left wing spar. I've hit a problem. It doesn't look that bad in this photo, but appears worse when actually looking at it. The spar kicks up a bit sending the wing in the wrong direction. Annoying as it looked fine when dry fitting. I'll have to work something out when I come to attach the wings. As said previously the wings will be on their own spar then attached so it should be ok, will just need attention when fitting. Vacform IL-76 - IL-82 conversion by Rainbow 1984, on Flickr and finally, an overall look. Really happy with yesterdays efforts although I've still got loads to do it's finally looking like a IL-76/82 in the making, no nasty joins to be seen here! Was just going to bed and found this, amazing work! Roll on more! -
I'm a busy boy with work, but I have 6 months left so may get something on the go in the new year! Hopefully get something done in that time.
-
I might enter this in the new year! Didn't realise they went on for so long.....
-
Superb start, got this kit myself... the rigging has always put me off starting it though.
-
The DC-3 is one model I would love in 1/32nd, maybe one day i'll find a vacform kit or someone will bring out a IM kit. Done a good job on the card kit, are they easy to make? Can't imagine where you start with one as I've never seen one.

Wide-angled lens, what about the space to put them together! LOL Between you and your dad you must have a superb collection! Where do they all go once built? Boxed and put in the loft, or....? -
Crap news about the decal! Hope it's sorted soon. Does no one do paint masks for this scheme? Could paint the tail white then mask off the Kangeroo then do the red?
