  2. Ahoy MARU5 ` Thanks my man for your reply the Thiud took me about 3 weks to build iot is very difficult to build to say the least although its paper but they do look like they are made from plastic.. I been building card models all my life once they were popular in the U.S. but with the event of plastic and balsawood kits they faded away from the modeling world but are the mainstay in the European countries and still popular as ever. With the skyrocketing cost of plastic kits nowdays has scared me away from the hobbyshop they miss me....... Thanks Dear sir for your always wonderfull replies please excuse the lines on the text I must had pushed something cant figure out how to stop it. Boats

The Good old Days, this kit is a re-issue of the same kit just different decals the decals that come in the kit are for two different aircraft , Korean war and the second world war versions the decals are very good quality. Thanks guys I am honored. boats

  9. Ahoy Thank you buddy for your reply I always had a soft heart for the mighty B-52... Of all jet aircraft the B-52 has always been amung my favorite. Funny thing when you look at the Buff head on it looks like a hen with her wings spread out to hide her chicks.. Another view came to mind as I was staring at Buff it reminds of my days in vietnam war when i was 30 miles off shore at night you can see the lightning flashes and the rumbling thunder ofr the bombs explodeing. Out here in Ohio every summer we get thunder and rain along with tornados. everytime I hear it thunder it reminds of the mighty B-52 dropping her bombs on the NVA what flash back of the past. Thank you very much for your reply. Boats
  10. Ahoy Here is another build in my collections this is a 1968 kit I had for years and just got around in building it. I never built a Buff before the only Buff I built from what I can remember is the old 1955 Revell kit that once upon a time its available for us older modlers that there is no more re- issues of that kit to be found they truely were a classic in plastics. This kit i bought on leave when I came home from Nam. I ventured to my favorite hobbyshop.. There it was on the wall It cost me $ 14.00 back then it was the only expensive kit on the market at one time this kit was the largest in the world of plastic kits only to my knowledge, perhaps there were bigger but only in vacuform varity I surmise. This kit came with a electric motor that simulated the real jet engine sound of the 8 General electric engines the Buff had. A pure gimic model monogram was great for gimic kits cin that era. nowdays no such doing all scale right doen to the photo etch and resin. We wee not picky or choosey in those days just to be lucky to have one and show your buddies what you built.; Here is my Buff. Boats
  11. Ahoy Thanks fellas for your replies indeed she is, all the planes you see on the second photo are mine all built from paper. I will be posting my Brewster Buffalo next, boats

  15. Ahoy I just fginished this one this is the new Revell Ventura Bomber a very delightfull and enjoyable kit to build. all parts fit like a glove there is no need for useing filler putty for the seams just wet sand them use plenty of water after you wet sand use brasso to remove the sctachs.. The only negative point of the kit is the octopus decal its knuckle biter and a hair puller so BEWARE secret is to use plenty of water makeing certain the fuselage is saturated with water so you can shift the decal around until formed. The kit gives you three versions to choose from two are navy along with the octopus decal, the third is the British Columbia included are the roundels. Perhaps some day Revell will release the RAF version of the Ventura 11. When I first built thisd kit i had no way of knowing that there are after market resin parts sets for this model. I built it staright from the box I am not choosey, If this kit was built for model shows I would use the after market resin sets and would have spent 8 months building her. But I am Happy Here is my Ventura. Boats
