  1. Happy birthday Anthony..hope you enjoyed Gisborne. I go there every couple of days for work but never for long enough to visit the museum..but I'm dying to..was it good? Just an excuse to bring my favourite thread back to the first page :-)
  2. Any chance we could put all the corsairs into a group build to tidy up the page?
  3. Well I saw a couple dozen of them launched at wanaka 98..!? I think or was it 2000? Skyhawk was doing a rolling climb at the end of its display..awesome..loved that!!
  4. Hi all, Another question for skyhawk buffs. I have been around the google and callums site and can't find any pics of a loaded cdms (flare dispenser) There's plenty with blanks on but I'd like to paint one side as loaded.. Can anyone post a pic or describe the colour Thanks in advance Matt
  5. Man are there no unemployed cleaners in the uk that could give those jets a dusting and a wipe down..? By the way did bonnie prince Charlie really drive an F4..he hardly seems capable of stringing a sentence together let alone putting one of them on a pitching carrier in the Atlantic!!
  6. Hmm..thanks Brad I didn't get a reply soon enough so I went down to the hardware store and bought a 1mm drill bit and used my black n decker brute do make a little hole in each piece. Cut some copper wire to go through the middle. Then I made a shim out of some electric wire insulation and flooded the whole shebang with superglue. So it's all painted up now and when the weight goes on and it inevitably fails I'll try your method..thanks for replying Matt
  7. Does anyone have something that is strong enough to handle a nose wheel assy attaching to the bottom of the oleo leg..obviously load bearing and difficult to put much construction into. Would the only other option be a fine drill and a pin..I don't really have the gear for that..I could buy a drill bit and spend the evening in front of the telly doing it by hand..?
  8. How about helmets to put on the front seat or ladders..I'm after an RAF alpha type.. late 80s
  9. I gave up on airbrush and enamels..I have done 3 coats with rattle can lacquer onto a saucer then brushing it on. (Mat white) It works ok because it dries fast..the finish is ok so long as no-one shines a real bright torch down there..what a hold up..never done so much work on one small part!! (Trump A4E by the way but with Harold's intakes)
  10. Make sure you get a real good printer that can handle large runs..if you become popular it will be running night and day..!
  11. How about super detailing cockpits for common kits? Or the mirage survey going on in LSP discussions..how about a basic mirage III with all the modifications all the way up to Kfir/Cheetah V or Nesher/Dagger etc
  12. read carefully..he said FOOL proof and idiot proof..you're not just an idiot buddy!
  13. Hi Oliver, mesmerising thread. Unbelievable!! Question: I was looking around about page 20 where the helmets first made an appearance. I would like to get an RAF alpha helmet from the 1980s in 1/32 if there is such a thing. Did you buy them somewhere or make them? Cheers Matt
  14. I know its right off topic but I wish Peter Jackson had put his energy into the Operation Jericho story instead of Dambusters. How awesome would be the whole thing including M16, evil Gestapo, the Movie star squadron leader who didn't make it back, brave resistance fighters..the mighty Mossie!!! 487 Squadron...etc etc
  15. Ok so how do you apply it..airbrush? It's quite thick..can you use a thinner? I've got tamiya enamel thinner? If I brush it on will that affect the decals?
  16. Ok so klear and its replacements are acrylic based so no good either?..is the conclusion an enamel gloss clear is the way to go?
  17. http://jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=304976 Is that the pic?
  18. Anyone for a Kahu cockpit!? Let Anthony know in LSP discussions http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=45513
  19. Oh yeah put me down for one definitely..I'm on my third go (not good results) and I'm going bonkers..can't believe there's already a 3D printer in NZ. Can't wait! Matt. (Hamfists)
  20. Brilliant..thanks..any news on the panel/hud? I'm starting to look at my evergreen sheets in an unhealthy way!
  21. Sure..great or even just a description..colour of the actuator colour of exposed fuselage and colour of the brake itself "in"side
  22. Hi team Kahu, I've been pouring over kiwi aircraft images and a4 alley but I can't see the pic I need of the airbrakes extended..mechanism etc..can anyone point me in the right direction..needs to be a kiwi one obviously and late 90's paint job Thanks Hams
