Further progress... Small adjustment to the landing gear. 6th series has had a slightly different landing gear than later versions.

I've just noticed that it's actually almost 1 year i started this build, and most of the time, this poor P-6 spent its time on my desk covered with dust... I wont let you alone again cute little bird !
 
Yesterday, i tried to apply the first decals, on the upper wing. The decals are very good quality, not fragile, very thin, with an almost invisible carrier support. And i did not even gloss coated before, just slightly buffed the part. The only downside is that the white color seems a bit translucent, and so after being applied, the color is not so white anymore (strangely it looks a bit pinky). However, on the pictures it's not noticeable at all, so it may just be me.... i'll have to check what it looks like when everything will be done. If necessary, i'll try to mask the decals and spray over the white with the same ivory color than the rest of the model.


 
 
 
Then i spent a lot of time making masks for the intricate feathers scheme on the fuselage. Decals are supplied and they must be easier than these on the wheel spats, but to be sure to get each colors matching together, i prefered to paint everything. I used the decals as templates to cut masks in tamiya tape. I modify some to get something closer from what i can see on some pictures. Sorry i forgot to take pictures of the model with masks just before painting. This evening, i'll spay the olive drap and unmask everything. I hope everything will be ok.

Today I had Christmas! I received a preview of the decals on my ***** and an Aquarium.I can start building my Su-25K 1027 and UBK 3237,in which I several times flew :yahoo:

Next Frogfoot, I am very happy !!! But beware of the Trumpeter's instructions are very bad !!! Correct some errors. Air intake on the cover, nozzle Su-25 does not have. Not too hard cover in front of air brakes.Coloring I have looking at the CD, and Trumpeter has wrong.

Again little progress. Cannon is in place, but I had to shorten the barrel of 3 mm. But now it's realistic.



I added stencils on the wing and fuselage, I have still only 50%


PTB-800 used for Su-25 and Su-22nd Drop tanks in the model are for Mig-29, are the PTB-1150 and have a different shape.

Another small progress and finding a big mistake....
Anca is happy , changing the hair color and I corrected a little the color of flowers.

And where is at least 50% of stencils?

And another little progress on my "ANCA". Decal numbers 6019 is very small    ... a new number.


It's not perfect, I must correct him.

At a long discussion i had in some russian forums,the red 10 was stationed in afghanistan at mid 80,and there is a controversy about the cockpit color for this plane.half of them says that it was repainted with the green migs cockpit color,due lack of the original color of Sukhoi,and some of them says that never happened!!! Thats all i know and i thought it was more interesting with the migs green !!!!

Probably wrong I see, but symbol city of Ostrava is not all right ...

I corrected drop tanks from PTB-1150 to PTB-800. PTB-1150 are the Su-25, only to overflights.
 
To LSP_Ray. This marking is in the kit, but only ANCA is quite OK
