    I'm just a few steps away from finishing mine - Here's heads up, thepins from the engine bearers are a royal pita to get slotted into their mounting holes. this the cowling panels to not fit well at all - you'll read the same in a few reviews. The upper cowling in short on the back end - this is normal AND prototypical apparently. I woul recommend fitting the panels to the cowl ring - the small pins into the slots - at some point before you mount thm - the side onesare especially fidgety once the engines are mounted.

    Looks great. What colour did you use for the seat? It's darker than the aluminum structure, I like it.

    Yeah I just picked up one of these at a trade show for $20 and happened across this thread. Looks like it died hard and early.

    How did you go about getting a hold of the HPH for the replacements? all but one of mine are broken.

    Having just received my HPH Helldiver - I can tell you, the detail is some of the best I have ever seen. I do not regret a single cent of this purchase and I'm sure The Catalina is just as nice.

    Sorry to ask again, but how do I get a hold of someone from G-factor to order a set of landing gear?

    How does one get a hold of G-Factor. I wonder if they would let us do a group buy. I noticed the same defect on my landing gear, but I wanted to make sure that there wasn't something else I was missing.

    My favorite plane. I keep putting off starting my build. I'm attacking the stash and not getting there as fast as I would like lol.

    Put me down for a set. What A/M parts are needed to make an aggressor? I can never tell one F-16 from another.

    As bad as it is - it still fits together like a Tamiya kit when compared to the Special Hobby kits. I'm just thankful for another option.

    I really enjoy Roy's resin upgrades - they look so good and they fit unreasonably well. I used the full set for the Tamiya Mustang and plan on using other sets he releases for anything I'm already building.

    One of thecoolest looking planes. Thanks so much Paul, I told my wife I wasn't going to buy one (so I could buy something else). Now I have to explain that I've changed my mind because the turtle deck can be built in the down position.

    Beautiful looking build. Where did you get the Yahu panel from? I'm going to have to get one for the Airfix Typhoon now, despite having the Airscale set. There's always more to buy.

    Of course I converted mine to a VLR Mustang and as soon as I finished Tamiya released it in kit form. Had I not done that it still wouldn't be out. Next I'll build the Trumpy Hellcat so they can use the Corsair's engine again.

    Hmmm, I have two newer releases of the kit - I'll be interested to see if mine came with that canopy (I'm not allowed to open them...it's a long story)

    Can anyone find the original posts? I'm getting nothing on ARC - it seems their archives don't go back that far and Blackdog has been inactive since 2010. And HS uses that terrible Network54 search engine which never yields relevant results.
