  1. Even in dinky little 1/48 it looks really nice http://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/builds/ca/build_ca_4149.shtml veeeery tempting...
  2. Hi Martin, I just hope this all hasn't cost you too much emotionally. It really is short-sighted of your Chinese partners to treat you as they have, after the initial three releases what do they have? A sullied reputation. I look forward to the Wingscale B-26 and P-61, and maybe a Fw 189..? Ultimately you'll be stronger and wiser for the experience, and maybe keep production in Europe? Don't let the b'stards grind you down! Andy
  3. Slaters Mek-Pak - the Cristal of liquid cements - applied with a ruling pen http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruling_pen
  4. For those interested in the CR.32 there are a few really nice profiles in this http://misc.kitreview.com/bookreviews/italiancamobookreviewse_1.htm note the reproduction in this review has the colour setting at gAudy, the ones in the book are much more subtle.
  5. I'm sure I read rumour of another conversion set in the pipeline on Britmodeller, whether it comes to fruition is another matter.
  6. I'm sure one of the, many, builds on Britmodeller states it isn't. Check first!
  7. http://www.kitsworld.co.uk/index.php?EXTPICFILE=1&CATEGORY=4&SUB=3&THISPAGE=1&RADIOSORT=4&STRH=4641&ORDN=4747&STKNR=53&RNZ=691225
  8. If you're thinking of adding to the Zero kit, here's a useful list http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/index.php?product_category_id=&product_division_id=&manufacturer_id=&code=&product_type_id=&scale_id=953&keyword_search=a6m5&setPerPage=100 and this would certainly be an improvement http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/CMQ32116 as would the quickboost exhausts, and Eduard ip. Mastercasters make some nice resin wheels http://www.mastercasters.co.uk/2.html , albeit for the Tamiya, but I'm sure they could be adapted for the Hasegawa kit.
  9. Great work on the prop and spinner, and you certainly shouldn't judge it too harshly until it's mounted on the completed fuselage. OhhhhhMmmmmmmmmmmm.....
  10. Thanks Doug, that's great news for us Europeans, except Nick!
  11. Ian at AdAstra already has a comprehensive set of masks designed for the PAF F.6, they're not listed just send him an email. http://www.adastramasks.com/ Hopefully an early Martin Baker seat will be available soon - for the early Hawk.
  12. Great work Jeroen. Any chance of a pic of each of the figures, might see if I can get some for my Arado with catapult. I too have a S-100 so will be following that build closely, G-Factor make some propellers... I think I'm going to mount mine so it gives the impression of the boat stern up and turning slightly in the water.
  13. Eduard produce a set which includes the later N-type seat http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/ED32675 there was one on ebay.uk not long ago, went unsold at about £8...
  14. There is already a conversion available http://www.greymatterfigures.com/index.php?p=2&id=76 unless of course you're planning on grafting the Tamiya engine on to the Hasegawa or Hobby Boss kit...
  15. Serendipity strikes again! I just saw this 1/32 Aussie Sabre on Hyper http://www.hyperscale.com/2011/features/sabremk3232mp_1.htm strange it carries two types of roundels, but then again you don't really want any Roo's on the wings!!!
  16. If you're careful you can use masks more than once, by placing them carefully back on the backing sheet, but I don't think masks are waste, quite the opposite and I fully concure with Nick about AdAstra, take your imagination for a run and model the aircraft you want.
  17. A superquick google came up with this http://cgi.ebay.ie/AVIATION-JUNKERS-88-ET-188-FRANCAIS-/310296444092?pt=JG_FR_Collections_Aviation&hash=item483f1bfcbc#ht_5509wt_1139 and in this review it gives a price of 45 Euros http://www.mct57.org/index.php?topic=14.0 google also threw this up http://www.frenchwings.net/navy/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=307 which clearly shows no yellow surround to the roundel.
  18. Early Harriers Buccaneer Draken Mig 21PF Mirage F1 Super Etendard British Phantoms
  19. I believe Kevin's saying there's not been a WNW kit he wants more than the Fokker, but surely once he's seen an inter-war Ninak he'll be changing his mind?
  20. You're kidding right http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.aeroscale.co.uk/photos/review/5373/dh9a_vol2_4.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.aeroscale.co.uk/modules.php%3Fop%3Dmodload%26name%3DReviews%26file%3Dindex%26req%3Dshowcontent%26id%3D5373&usg=__CBnphCiMNQ6-pW5DGAhVV0JW4nM=&h=560&w=800&sz=93&hl=en&start=30&zoom=1&tbnid=SWEpM4tDzgckFM:&tbnh=143&tbnw=204&ei=83B6TbTZNNTK4AaT8sG-BQ&prev=/images%3Fq%3DDH.9a%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DX%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D642%26tbs%3Disch:10%2C1213&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=568&vpy=293&dur=128&hovh=188&hovw=268&tx=170&ty=103&oei=6XB6Tbv7Fo62hAfPl7nfBg&page=3&ndsp=16&ved=1t:429,r:13,s:30&biw=1280&bih=642 & http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.aeroscale.co.uk/photos/review/5031/alb_dh9a_4.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.aeroscale.co.uk/modules.php%3Fop%3Dmodload%26name%3DReviews%26file%3Dindex%26req%3Dshowcontent%26id%3D5031&usg=__TLToZxrIFMh_Pa7C6csC5D3R94A=&h=567&w=800&sz=98&hl=en&start=46&zoom=1&tbnid=oqIUPjhpbWzimM:&tbnh=148&tbnw=209&ei=XXF6TbbgGsv24gbanMTGBQ&prev=/images%3Fq%3DDH.9a%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DX%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D642%26tbs%3Disch:10%2C1626&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=972&vpy=245&dur=572&hovh=189&hovw=267&tx=141&ty=95&oei=6XB6Tbv7Fo62hAfPl7nfBg&page=4&ndsp=16&ved=1t:429,r:10,s:46&biw=1280&bih=642 ? 21. How magnanimous thou art.
  22. Just seen these http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/QB32099
  23. These http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160542242848&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT I know they're the wrong type, but he also sells the early nozzles. He doesn't have them up for auction at present, but no doubt will do in a few days.
  24. Spot on! Though we do need a 1/32 Fw 189... which I do think is viable.
  25. Can't remember if you've seen this http://fighters.forumactif.com/t27510-help-needed-ju-188-e-aeronavale You might like to ask Antoine/Anthony-LS who is an active member on ARC http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showuser=7021 and speaks English to post on the thread for further info, and to publicise the conversion, mine went unanswered, don't know it it's because it's in the wrong place, or for another reason...
