  1. Yes, printing as a hollow with a cut at the bend and then assembling on the wire. Another, perhaps better, possibility is using the 3d Print of the gear leg as a master in resin casting. Much more detail available than manufacturers are able to achieve with injection molding. Unfortunately, I am of an age when the learning curve of 3D CAD is much too steep and time consuming to attempt. Maybe someone in the future will be willing to take up where I leave off. If you don't mind I'm going to PM you regarding a couple of PE(?) parts to add to your Bf 109 project. Cheers, Damian
  2. Absolutely amazing, Peter! Is it possible to print around a wire core? Asking for a friend..... Cheers, Damian
  3. Good job, Woody. Just a thought....when fading the blue of the upper wing insignia add light, orangish gray instead of pure white. It tones down the intensity of the blue and has a more faded look. You probably know all this, but just in case.... Cheers, Damian
  4. Looks to me from Martin's photos the fabric and metal on the upper wing surfaces have faded equally so there's not much difference in tone. As others have said there's a lot of dirt, etc. buildup especially inboard of the gun hatches. If it were my model I'd try to bring the fabric/metal closer together a bit. Same for the tail surfaces. The black pre-shading shows through in the photos a bit too much, but as you say not in person. We can only judge by what is presented. Your call. I'm very impressed by what you're accomplishing here, Woody. Semper Fi, Damian
  5. What are these guys thinking? Just wait for someone come out with a "crew".....
  6. Masterful work, Tolga. Really like how well you integrated the Red Fox set with the kit parts. Cheers, Damian
  7. 44 + - is Erla production G-10. No. 2 + - is WNF production G-10. No. 12 + is MTT production G-10(can't see image well enough...) That's my take.
  8. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.................

  10. Big and Beautiful, Kevin! Cheers, Damian
  11. Have FW 190 books, too, just not as many! Lots of USAAF and USN, as well as a large Nose Art book collection coming in the near-ish future. Trying to get the Luftwaffe books out of the way first.
  12. ...including a few rare ones. More Books Cheers, Damian
  13. Thanks, Bill. I appreciate it. Damian
  14. Hi Eli I'd go with Sand 49, which predates the 1943 ANA comprehensive color system change, though Sand 49 and ANA 616 are similar colors. Sand 49 did fade into a pinkish hue after prolonged exposure to a hot and arid environment. Cheers, Damian
  15. It's a beauty, Iain, a keeper for sure. Cheers, Damian
