Nice project jeroen and looking good! Like a fool I threw away my cut offs from my 188 build and was super annoyed when I realised I could have done a nose section. Will be watching with interest! Regards. Andy

Some more done this weekend and first up and finally managed to get the foward cockpit area re painted after filling and sanding the cut I made Really happy with how this has turned out and no obvious clues anywhere after the surgery on this huge casting of a cockpit tub Also managed to get the B stand, C stand and bomb sight completed Some further weathering is needed but will wait until I bring all of the cockpit dub assemblies together. Hi Jeroen, thank you for dropping by and pleased you like my idea, it's taken me so long to think of a way to securely fix the A stand in to place without it coming loose once all closed up! With regards to the ejector shute this is about the clearest picture I've found so far It's a very useful picture in many ways of a 188. Regards. Andy -

Thank you Paul, I have the vac parts cut out and the whole glasshouse canopy is made up of 3 parts. I have a plan....I think! Regards. Andy -

Really nice work on a difficult kit to build, looks very nice with no signs of the fit difficulties you will have come across. Regards. Andy

ESome more done on the foward cockpit area and getting the A stand MG 152 position correct. First up I drilled through the MG 151 mount and added brass rod followed by fitting the ejector shute to the gun, took a fee goes and test fits to get the height and angle right and then I drilled through the cockpit tub and added some rod to the base of the ejector shute as a positive location point And a test fit of the lower nose glazing I then added a small piece of plastic stock to the ammo bin to get a good solid location point for the bomb sight Insignificant but very helpful in getting everything to fit in close confines This is the most difficult part of the build now and a real jigsaw in getting everything fitted and firmly in place in thr correct sequence. Regards. Andy -
Nice progress Max and really like your pilot. Regarding him sitting to high, the seat sits a bit to high on the MDC kit as the top of the backrest should just be proud of the cockpit opening and needs a slight modification to move it down. Regards. Andy
-
Really nicely done Max, the parachute on the port wing is a nice touch! Regards. Andy

So now on to the really tricky parts of this build which is getting everything mounted correctly inside the nose and then followed by fitting the huge vac greenhouse of a canopy. First up was dry fitting the A stand ammo box and also the bomb sight and now need to get the gun fitted on place and then check all aligned with the lower nose glazing which os not going to be easy! Regards.Andy
