Gigant
Here is what I found: Here was where I found it: https://deltavan1.wordpress.com/2017/04/06/rare-photos-of-the-japanese-pre-surrender-really-interesting/ I get it that the crosses are green, but what do you think of the overall color? As I understand from the "Air Apache" movie I have, it was supposed to be white-but it does seem to have a metallic hue to it. Gigant
That I do not recall. Sorry. That's OK, I am thinking maybe a shade like RLM 71 Dunkelgrun, or would that be too dark?

Gigant
Looking forward to it! But I am still pondering the best choice of colors question...
Gigant
That image is very dark. I've seen first generation scans off of original Kodachromes, and the green is much brighter. Thanks! Especially for surrender markings I would have thought so. Edited February 20, 2018 by Gigant
