Harbor Freight Tools sells foil tape along with duct tape, Tex.

Yep it’s just DIY foil tape used for Airconditioning and such. Our Local DIY chain stocks it here in NZ.

I think it depends on what you stick it to.

 

Of course surface prep is the main thing, and if you are unsure, it pays to test it on a spare/scrap surface.

Still builds into a nice little model IF you can keep AMS under control. I have more than a few of their older ones. I even have a Ki-61 in the stash
