Shoggz
It seems to me that Sea Furies seem to have more prangs than other variants. https://ukaviation.news/vintage-sea-fury-crashes-at-duxford/ This is the two seat silver bird based at Duxford. Very sad news, as I can't see this one ever flying again, but the good news is no fatalities. MikeMaben and Out2gtcha
Out2gtcha
It does look bad, and really glad there were no fatalities. However, Ive seen some really bad looking wrecks and fires, including Renos "Precious Metal" that had a really bad fire, and was sure it was a write off..............only to have it fly again. I guess here's hoping it will be restored and someday fly again
thierry laurent
Indeed, some flying Warbirds were rebuilt from far worsely damaged wrecks!
BradG
Sea Fury's have issues because their sleeve valve engines are unreliable, although this was apparently using an R 2800 because the previous sleeve valve engine failed. This is rebuild-able, it will take a pile of money but it's not a total write off.
LSP_Ron
I agree, that is totally rebuildable, the question is if someone is willing to put that kind of money into a two seater Fury and is it worth it?
