Uncarina Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 (edited) This is the Tamiya 1/48 kit with DXM VF-1 Wolfpack decals. These are my favorite markings for the F-14, and I was glad to finally be able to build this. No dramas with the kit (as expected), and I just used Eduard wheels and the Quickboost gun vents, probe, and beavertail in addition to the decals. This is also my first venture into 1/48 scale in years, and I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. Flankers next! mustang1989 Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 LOTSA good detailing and the decal work is amazing. So many stencils on these more modern aircraft. Uncarina 1
Uncarina Posted March 19, 2019 Author Posted March 19, 2019 Jennings, Thank you! One of my references was this: http://flitetime.net/vf1.html It includes an account of how he flew one of the jets to Iran. Cheers, Tom
Uncarina Posted March 25, 2019 Author Posted March 25, 2019 Thanks Gaz! I’m currently deep in a GWH SU-35 build. Fun, and big enough for my diminishing remaining space! Cheers, Tom
