I just love the weathering so I spent yesterday going through your wip-thread and I wasn't disappointed, splendid work and saved for future reference!

Thank you Erik. I'm glad you like my build, and saved it for future reference.  If you have any questions, I would be more than willing to help out.

Love it Matt!  Some of your best work to date.  The engine and gun bays turned out stellar.

Thank you Brian. I'm really glad you appreciate the work and how it turned out, I think this was my best build so far. Not 100% perfect, but I did a lot of stuff for the first time on this one.   I have builders like you to thank for continually pushing me to get better.

Matt. ...

:wow:

That is ONE INCREDIBLY STUNNING Hawker Typhoon.

PHENOMENAL build. ...

LOVED IT

KUDOS

p.s. When you get tired of this one and build another one... I DIBS this one..... :punk:

Thank you so much Maru. You always have such positive and inspiring comments. As I was finishing this one, I was considering the idea of building a second.  But I have no idea where I'd even put a second Typhoon. Fitting this one in the case is tough enough.

Thank you very much Peter!  Glad you like the work on it.

Is that your MG V8 in your profile picture? My dad and I both have MGBs, one '63 and one '75.

Hi Matt, sorry for the late reply, live got in the way. ;)

Yes, that's my MGB GT V8 in my profile picture.

It's from 1973 and I have it for 16 years now.

Last week, I put in a new radiator and upgraded the electric cooling fans

with a set from Revotec, specifically designed for the V8's limited available space.

Hopefully this will solve the cooling problems at low speed, associated with the type.

Oh, and I put in an engine steady bar as well when I were at it.

That should save the engine mounts.

Cool you and your dad have MGB's as well! :)

Cheers,

Peter

That's really cool that you drive a GTV8, they're really cool little cars.  The Bs were fun vehicles, but they do need a lot of work to keep them running in top condition.
