Harrison90
Hey everyone, I'm back for more after my Beaufighter build which ended with most of my hard work to be completely hidden and almost for naught. I've been busying myself by cutting down the stash to make room for a new Hawker Typhoon, favourite plane, next to the Fw190 D-9, of which I have one of as well. There is also an up and coming IPMS show where some shopping will be done. Here is the topic for this build. Something not 40 years old this time: Here are just a quick snapshot of my builds since the Beau: Hasegawa 1/48, F-16C "Wolf Pack" which just became some made up aircraft and markings. Not a great build, but kinda fun detailing the landing gear and wheel wells and continuing to practice and hone my skills. Also, Academy 1/35 M-10 Wolverine, again just for fun and a completely made up paint and marking job. Built as a damaged and abandoned M-10. The figure is a mash up of Tamiya figures and the long coat sculpted from milliput. (first ever sculpting) Should have some build progress up soon. Cheers! BarryWilliams
I look forward to the Swordfish build. I have the Mk 1 in my stash and will want to build a 'Channel Dash' aircraft, an operation that happened here in Dover where I live and work and in which my grandfather was involved on the steam gun boat Grey Seal under the command of Lt Cmmdr (Sir) Peter Scott. Thomas Lund
Looking forward to this. I built it some time ago. Bought the Mk II because the box misled me to think it was the version that attacked Bismark, so I had to modify it to a Mk I. Apart from that self-made trouble, it was a nice kit. Only thing (that I remember) is that the PE rigging supplied that goes on the top of the wing surface was not there in real life.

Harrison90
Some cockpit progress. Still have some weathering to do on all of it and the small bits of paint here and there but its not looking to bad I don't think. Cheers! Harrison90
Some more progress, cockpit and engine are almost ready to be enclosed, Progress is slow and kinda disjointed because I have a new job that has its own problems to work around. Hopefully work doesn't ruin the modelling to much. Cheers and hope you all like it!
Harrison90
Have the control panel ready for final touches along with the engine. Some final placards still to be placed. I had planned to make the wings movable but quickly abandoned that plan, being outside of either my patience and skill range, besides, this beast looks great with its wings spread. Cheers! Harrison90
Just about ready to button her up and work more on that massive exterior. Should also have mentioned that the seat belts are a mix of Tamiya tape, and HGW left over photoetch. On the control panel I used Peters Airscale instrument decals and placards throughout the interior. I have sanded down the molded on locking handles and scratch built my own, out of brass wire and styrene. Thanks for the comments!
