Made more progress over the weekend--for once I didn't have 10,432 things to do before I could model.  I'm actually further along than these shots, so there will be more updated pics coming shortly.

The decals are a combination of Zotz and the KitsWorld stencils.

Once the props are completed and attached, the application of the "glop" and other weathering can commence.

Enjoy!

And more photos, as requested!  Yes, she's all clean and shiny for now, but that will change.  I did the paint chipping on the olive drab bits.  Tonight, the heavy exhaust weathering begins (along with more work on the turrets etc).  I'm leaving the gun barrells/antennae off until the end--I have a well-established habit of breaking those off.  Already had to re-attach a prop blade...

The above link at The Modelling News has one photo--otherwise I've not been able to find out much about this a/c--the other ones are very will documented, though.   The photo is interesting in that it shows what appears to be a replacement cheek gun section that is in OD.   So I painted my a/c accordingly.

We have 3 of us building this a/c in our club--5 pounds and breakfast, D-Day Doll and Baby.  D-Day Doll and Baby will be ready (hopefully) for our monthly club meeting next week.

Wow, that's looking great.  I can't wait to see what the weathering looks like.  Thanks also for that like to Zotz.  I wouldn't be using any of the nose art or group decals since my build is going to be a 100th BG bird, but I'll need all that little stenciling that doesn't come with the kit.  I'm surprised that with a price like they charge for this kit, the decals wouldn't be top quality and complete.  As far as breaking stuff off, if I had a nickel for every time something fell off this build, I'd have enough to buy another kit.

Kits World does the stenciling set.  Even though the placement instructions for some of them is suspect, on the whole it's well worth it, especially for those black walkway lines on the wings, fuel filler caps, etc.
