Thanks for the kind words Tom.

Anything I have found has just been with good old Google. :)

I'm sure Derek will be along with more useful information.

Following this is like reading a good book: lot's of twists and turns with a few surprises thrown in! Are there any references you recommend that detail General Barnes' experiences with this aircraft?

Cheers, Tom

There is surprisingly little information around Tom, unless he wrote a biography? I am sure that someone will know more than I about him and his exploits, so hopefully, they will chip in and enlighten us all?

Regards

Derek

Have you got Wings of Fame Vol 15? Has some images and a paragraph on this aeroplane/Gen Barnes.

Also one photo and a precis of the aircraft history in 'Northrop's Night Hunter'.

Great start Jack!

If you need any assistance on the foiling front let me know. Really looking forward to this one..................looks like if Im going to do a widow Im going to have to change my scheme!

I think Ill probably be sick of foiling individual panels once done with the Mitchell anyway. rofl

Looking forward to the next update!

Thanks for the offer. I'm sure I will be asking you.

One area I had a concern with was the fin cap but having looked at pictures on the maam site it seems that there is a thin strip on the leading edge as opposed to a wrap around panel.

Here is the picture I am talking about.

Ok this mornings update.

I have fitted the gun covers and a perfect fit they are too.

I will be putting a piece of card at the back of the hole and filling it in next.

A wee question for those who know.

Here is the kit upper radio bulkhead. But there is also an unused bulkhead with a squarer top. Anyone know what version that would be for?

Until next time. :)
