This ac was started early last year. Life sometimes gets in the way.... After 15 years with in VA I ended up moving to NC. Moving sucks and moving my modeling room sucks worse. I am still finding and fixing little things that broke off or searching for that tool that I need. I recently settled in enough to finish this project ( Still working on the tamiya spit to) I had posted this in works in progress but finally here it is. Except for the heart there are no decals every other marking is painted. I used hobby transfers for the markings

Sure looks good.

I know exactly what you mean about life getting in the way.

Ain't that the truth! A prospective move which hasn't happened yet has really put a damper on my modeling lately! :BANGHEAD2:

Oh, and the build: beautiful. I especially like the painted checkerboard cowl.

I am smitten. This is one of my altime fav planes and color schemes. I am building an A-5 of 1/JG1 with the white checkered nose. There's an oil painting of the aircraft in formation streaking over the Dutch countryside at near treetop level, it's prototypical fighterpilot porn. Seriously,I look at this painting and I hear Wagner in my head. Whaaaaaaaah! Sorry, had a moment.

I've got WWII flight simulator that I LOVE. I bought it because I wanted to fly the P-51D, but it flies like a pig on a spit. But the Fw-190 flies like a dream. The flight characteristics on the sim just fit me like an old baseball glove. It's a blast to fly and deadly in a dogfight. I downloaded the 1/JG1 skins for it so it has the white checkered nose. It also has the Ta-152 available as well but only against 4 engine bombers. I have like 250 kills on it now. What can I say it's fun, and I get to build what I fly too! I have 3 Fw 190s all in 1/24th to build.

Anyway, I am really loving your build. Awesome job and as far as I'm concerned you couldn't have picked a better paint scheme. Bravo Zulu to you!
