  1. Apple TV? That’s a shame. I got it free for a year with a new Apple device. Only found one thing worth watching. Hoping some other company picks up the showing of it here.
  2. I’ll pick up the P-38. But its got to be a Robin Olds scheme for me.
  3. I got a couple from HLJ the other week. I somehow forgot I had ordered it twice so got 2 and sold my spare here last week. So they are definitely available.
  4. I have bought bits and pieces from BNA over the years but never anything as large as a kit, but saying that its not a very big box that the kit comes in.
  5. A repop of the 109F-4 would be most welcome too. I thought I had one in storage but alas, no.
  6. Best news of the day. Ok its only just gone 7am but still damn good news.
  7. I know I've asked before but please consider scaling down the Wild Weasel set to 1/48.
  8. I'll very likely pick one up. The only thing that bugs me and I'm hoping its just a trick of the light is the prominence of the wing to fuselage blending fillet on the fuselage side and how thick the fuel tank armour ahead of the windscreen looks. Fixable things with a sanding sponge I'm sure so no great cause for concern. I did go look at photos of real Spitfire Mk.IXs and yes, in certain light that fillet is quite prominent. I just had it more blended in my mind. Ouch at that Buccaneer price though. Thats one I'll wait and see a few builds on before deciding (yes, I'm a scale heretic).
  9. Wasn't the Windscreen quite different on the F1 and F3?
  10. I got my last lot of KASL stuff from eBay, this seller may or may not be KASL themselves, I’m not sure. Items arrived quickly and well packed. https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/moon03tw?_trksid=p2047675.m3561.l2559
  11. I swear when I first looked in to getting this kit there was Resin wheels and some Brass gun barrels available. Now, who tap up to get some stencil decals done? Hmm.
  12. Wasn’t included in the package when I sold it to you, pretty much everything else was though.
  13. Thanks, theres no rush, the kit will be on the slow boat from China and it will be going in somewhere in the middle of the build pile when it arrives, which at my pace of building still puts it a little way off being attempted. Hopefully in that delay Quinta or Yahu will knock out a set for it.
  14. From what I've read and from what I've seen from owning the Mirage kits, Kitty Hawk Decals are less than stellar. I want to do a Soviet machine. It doesn't need to be a scheme of any of the Aces, though Kill marks are a plus. I'm not sure if these things carried any stencil data at all. I can get AML Decals from Hannants but their quality is an unknown to me.
  15. Kit purchased. Now to find some decals. Typically it seems I am late to the party and all that’s available is AML Decals. Have never used them so don’t know anything about their quality. Zotz Soviet Aces looks interesting but no longer available. Might need to track down a reference book on the Soviet Airacobras also. Seems they made changes, omitted guns and whatnot.
  16. If I go ahead and buy the kit I’m planning on not using anything I don’t need to from the gun bay so was already looking at where I could stash some Liquid Gravity. But all pointers and tips welcome. Want some variety in my stash.
  17. It’s a kit I’ve looked at and almost bought a few times now and as supplies are dwindling after the companies demise I’m guessing now is the time to act. But my question is, if I elect to build it all panels closed as is my preference for all builds, how does it build up? Is it one of those kits that’s designed to be all opened up and will throw nothing but problems and poor fit if I go the all panels closed route? I’d like to do it as a VVS Bird. Should also add that I am not bothered about the short fuselage and wouldn’t be adding a plug.
  18. Like you Nick, I cut my teeth on Airfix and Matchbox kits brought from the local Newsagents with Birthday money and the like, Airfix is a bit like the NHS, you cant speak ill of it for fear of being ‘cancelled’. I bought the 1/24 Typhoon when it was released, sold it on soon after, so many moulding lines to remove I just couldn’t be bothered. Also got the Hellcat expecting better but after watching the first few builds and looking over my kit, that got sold on too. I looked at the Vampire out of curiosity and well, you know my opinion on that one. Wont be buying anything from their line, even if they do re-jig their 1/24 Spitfires and Hurricanes and the others.
  19. Last week they were sat at the desks building the Quick Build Spitfire and on both the guys desks there were other brands of Models. I saw an Eduard Tempest and I think on the other desk was one of the Arma Kits boxes. I wouldn’t read too much in to it. They obviously aren’t taking notes on other brands either as they still keep turning out kits with surface features I could park and lose my car in. I looked at one of the new Vampire kits the other day and was half expecting to see an X-Wing being chased by 3 TIE Fighters down one of the wing panel lines it was that deep it could have doubled for the Death Star Trench run.
  20. I’ve been tempted by this kit as offers on it pop up quite often but every time I’m put off by the toy like nature of it and the lack of After Market sets for it.
  21. Don’t worry about it. I just thought I’d seen a site that had a list of serial numbers with details of which factory it was built at. I know I’ve seen ones for P-51s and Spitfires.
  22. Thanks Maru, not quite what I am looking for though. What I am looking for is a list of serials and information of where that serial block was made, Erla or other factories.
  23. Trying to determine which factory built a model I’m looking at making with my Revell G-6 kit. Is there a list of serials somewhere that determines where it was built? Thanks.
