  1. Zactly so if they go British, German American, Other, wildcard it could be something like : a) Spit 1-5 (Brit) b)109 k4 (Germ) c) p51 (US) d)Zero (other) e) ? a) Hurricane b) Fw190d c) p40 d) ? e)? a) ? b) 109e C) Corsair d)? e)? And then who cares, that’s about 15 years worth of releases
  2. So Kotare could do a D-9 or A-8 no probs. I think they will do a p-51 b,c even if someone else like GWH or ZM have it planned. And a D.
  3. Exactly it’s what you think realistically what they will do not some fantasy of what you want.
  4. coming soon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEY4ubFh-5E
  5. Interesting. Following from Wingnuts their research which shows in instructions is gold standard. So serious modellers will make the stretch to buy their kits. More casual or budget conscious might go for the Revell or Hasegawa 190 (if available) disclaimer: don’t really know how much others compare in price but assume it’s less expensive. Anyway it will be very interesting to see what they bring out next- possibly this year?
  6. The original Sopwith Snipe had a captured version with crosses. The HP 0/100/400 was going to have one as well
  7. Well they’ve shown a fancy for late war lufty so a D could beckon though latest Hase/ Hobby 2000 is fairly decent
  8. Thanks. Seems like a natural progression but wait and see. Just looking at the W4 wings - similar or same as Albatros DII?
  9. Yes I’d put them as ‘mainstream’ along with P51B even though they are 2nd tier popular compared to 109 they really only have competition from ZM (announced p51b) Revell (Hurricane- not bad kit but with Kotare treatment would still sell) and Hasegawa (P40- not that available)
  10. For sure Ok gave it some thought These are what I think they might bring out as the wildcard after 4-5 mainstreams (109, 190, Spit, Stang etc). These fit the need 2020’s update, interesting not too complex category Stuka Lysander CAC Boomerang (ok it’s Aussie not Kiwi) Me 262 Maybe ki-43 or other Japanese fighter IF they go two engines after this then smaller two engine like Bf110 ki 46 Dinah Maybe Beaufighter Despite it being well done, an early zero without moving parts and an example in Auckland is a fair possibility
  11. Sweet. Hats of to Lukgraph So is this just a DIII on floats- that is will a DIII be coming next?
  12. Agreed. It’s an exercise in Wishlist impulse control. I think anything more than one engine at this point falls into that category. on another note makes you think about what it would take to start and continue a modelling company. Have to take a hat off to manus like ICM, Roden for the variety and accuracy or recent of kits despite a war going on. And small operations like Copper State, Dora, ZM etc. Even Airfix is retooling and bringing out interesting stuff (although not in 1/32). Then you have a company like Tamiya and Eduard who sets the standard. And now Chinese companies like Meng, Great Wall, HK, Border all improving.
  13. Just read above Echoing two comments observations if they are not doing engines where does that place Hellcat, Zero etc P38, bf110 and Beaufighter worthy suggestions and possible but a long way off. Remember as far as is known they don’t have a wealthy backer like Wingnuts. A Zero engine I guess wouldn’t be that much a stretch. If they were going to take over some of the Hasegawa catalogue as suggested. And yes well done chaps on keeping the thread virtually wish list free!
  14. Arguably this and other floatplanes were as involved as other types already mentioned in the Pacific. The only thing I’d say is the floats might put it in the ‘too large’ category.
  15. Your spot on the Aircobra p39 certainly was an important stop gap in the early pacific war. Gee if they did an early Zero that would be cheeky especially if it sells in Japan - but would have to compete on price. Think people might roll their eyes a bit like with another 109 but hey if they do it I’ll buy one. Something Japanese that hasn’t been done in 1/32 is a ‘Pete’.
  16. There are some 20s and 30s kits that would be worthy for an injection molded Kotare makeover. Assuming ICM don’t beat them to it ( or Lukgraph resin). Whether they could sell as many as a P51 not sure. p-40s are a chance.
  17. Well it will be interesting to see what they come out with. Didn’t think I’d want a 109k but because Kotare are doing it, definitely be picking one up.
  18. Well let’s hope they got some confidence out of making biplanes and it is still an option for Kotare to do something from the tween years and WW1. I hope if they do any WW1 stuff they are not too strict on scale accuracy- some of those wing and wheel struts were scary thin.
  19. So can they use the -k version and backdate it to a G-6 or just a G14? Similar airframe?
  20. And as a non- exported who wouldn’t know an f from a k I don’t give a crap.
  21. Agree the p-38 is quite big. Just a personal preference prefer wildcat to Hellcat and Corsair or p-51 to Jug. But not saying what they should or will bring out one way or other. I’d like to be a fly on the wall when they’re deciding whether to do a Spit VIIII, P-51, Zero or Corsair. I think if they can turn coin they will. People will buy these even though the Tamiya ones are fairly perfect ( except for boyish extras which got less over time. ) As mentioned they might take on p40s maybe a ki43.
