  1. I'm past guessing at this point. I can't see them going twin engined. A stand-out Hurricane I makes the most sense to me. Revell's is a II. I would buy one... Much more interesting than the II to me. Do I need another 109? You always need another 109. But you know... we really, really need a good Razorback.
  2. Now I know you are insane! Rigging those little things! Very cool... Glad to see you back, Ernest.
  3. Very nice job on this build... now I have to go back and read the entire thread.
  4. Top notch work, mate. Definitely worth any punishments that Hobby BooBoo gave you.
  5. There are some interesting engineering choices. I kind of wish I hadn't recently finished a 190... or I'd be all over this one.
  6. I had a look... and no, they aren't in the kit. The 'cheek' pieces are wholly separate from the rest of the cowl, so I don't imagine that it would take the 3d printing guys long to make them.
  7. The figure is mostly painted. Did some other detail painting, too. But I'll save pics of that other stuff for later. I think the puttees and jacket need another filter. \
  8. Black or brown? Unfortunately, our figure is dressed in a short leather coat only seen in a few pictures. It's dark. The puttees are dark too. But I'm definitely gonna make them brown. But here are the jacket pics... which do you think? Black or dark brown? I wish I knew more about the coat, period. It has shoulder boards on it... But is it a regulation piece of attire? Maybe one of you guys know? How about your intuition?
  9. Ooh er... very nice! Great job on that one... love the weathering, too.
  10. I've used the UMM scriber to make cuts, too. Tis a handy tool. I have the Tamiya 'engraver' but have only used it a few times.
  11. Nice work. I prefer to avoid major cutting operations if I can. If I have ne, I drill a lot of small holes to prevent my saw from drifting. I'm just not good at doing anything in a straight line.
  12. I agree... those wheel wells are a lot more interesting now.
  13. I've never seen them modelled in blue... might look cool.
  14. That looks nice. I appreciate the explanation of the factory paint/assembly method.
  15. Inspirational work, Jay!
