  2. Hi Nick you are right : quick , and easy kit ..... even if one could add THE own touch Alain
  3. oh , I missed this one , maybe because it was a quick build ... well this one seems to have been a cool trip ... hasn't it been ? well done mate !!!!!! Alain
  4. hi I like the details you added in the gear bays , as well the gear legs !!! Question ....which version are the Ukrainian digital Mig 29 , ....thanks Alain
  5. Hummm! ..........you feel disappointed Nick !!! maybe a lack of motivation !!??? ..well from my seat , that looks pretty nice ...what's wrong with it ? Alain
  6. Nice paint job Nick !! , it's unusual to see this cammo .....well done ...more pictures are welcome Alain
  7. hi the b version can easily done from the D .....There are small differences between the D ant the N , especially the aft IP ( not the same missions) ....must be checked though
  8. Hi gents I don't know if we have already talked in this , I just came across on that ...... Alain
  9. Hi Nick it’s worth what it’s worth, I clean the kit with alcohol before painting, at least to degrease it, and remove fingerprints etc....the cammo turns nicely Alain
  10. Hi first thank you for your comment .... now , about the mottle effect on the tail surface . Once the color base is painted , you can use these weathering effect stencil tools , there are various designs , you spray a light layer of dark alu , then a black wash .... easy !!!! ..... Alain for example
  11. Hi gents thanks a lot for your comments , for people interesting to know what are the differences of the J and S , here is something that will help Alain
  12. hi Wow !!!! I am not disappointed , very nice rendition !!! Alain
  13. Hi gents What about another Phantom ?? it's my fourth in a row, I think I’ve been bitten by the virus ........ So ,here is my last one, a conversion of the Tam's J to the S version, 1/32 scale, VF 161 "Charger" I like this squadron marking.....Do you? ...the blessed time of colorful squadron markings in the US Navy..... A little bit of scratch built , some AM stuffs, namely "Black box" cockpit, "Sparkit" seats (a must have), "Aerocraft models for the clear parts (one block frame / canopy easier than the Tam's solution) .Some Eduard's etched parts, and then, the slatted outer wings from "Wingman". I encountered fit issues with this set, the teeth of the hinge don't correspond to the kit part, the engraving is "soft", the parts are a bit bent etc....... and much more... That makes me wonder:" but ... what a hell, I didn't choose to build the J instead of the S ...it would have made my life easier" ... too bad ... All main markings have been painted (except the small stencils.. ) .... ZM listed 16 different points from the J to the S version, I believe I did the job ...so here we go.. enjoy,.... or not..... thank you for watching cheers Alain *
  14. Hi I usually use fishing line, I don’t remember the diameter, but no matter, you will find the right one in your fishing shop.. won't you?. I glue it with cyanoacrylate glue (Loctite super glue3) ... drill a hole in the canopy, and "drop" the glue with the tip of your scalpel (gently) easy............If you are not confortable , make a test before spoiling the clear part Alain
  15. Sorry guys, I think you’re bumming our friend, he wants an IAF camouflaged Mirage, but it's a hard way..........but the challengs could worth it ......whatever the way
  16. Hi I believe that thierry is right .If you realy want a "Nesher " on your shelf , forget the old Revell's kit , and look at the Italieri / revell ( new tool ) kit , not an easy kit , but much better in a matter of details etc. Antarky models conversions are very nice , Go ................ I 've built the "Nesher " from the old revell 's kit years ago . The kit needed a lot of works ' engraving , adjustments etc ....etc ... I used a conversion from " Eagle design models " ( a guy from Italy ) but no more available now .... Alain
  17. Hi an awesome model of an awesome plane .....congrats !!!! Alain

  22. Hi as a donaor , I which to participate with the Ciro models conversion ........ merry Christmas !!! Alain
  23. Hi Nick I have the Techmo decals dedicated to the Iranian F 14 (but not only), and I am bit worried to hear that they are fragile, so I wondered if a layer of clear varnish prior to apply them, could avoid such disaster.....this cammo looks very nice .....unusual Alain
  24. I have not yet built the Italieri 's F 104 (soon) But I read somewhere that the cockpit Aires does not fit easily... Alain
